  • 10 Compassionate Reframes for Limiting Beliefs About Productivity (Part 1)

    18/09/2020 Duración: 28min

Is your definition of “productivity” working for you? That word can be very loaded, and it has different meanings for all of us. If you’re stuck in a more conventional idea of what productivity means (like constant work and being rooted in "hustle culture") that isn’t working for you, I invite you to think about what it means for you now, and what you would like it to mean. For those of you who tend to be hard on yourselves and have really high expectations for yourself and the amount you work, here are 5 common limiting beliefs that might come up around productivity, and a mantra for shifting your mindset away from each of those beliefs in a compassionate way! • Un-Burnout + Imagining New Possibilities with Christy Tending

    04/09/2020 Duración: 56min

What could a truly just, equitable, sustainable, and healthy world look like? In this episode, I talk with Christy Tending, an activist, teacher, writer, and self-care mentor for rebellious humans who is all about sustainable, anti-capitalist self-care in service of liberation. Responding to the rampant burnout she has seen among fellow activists, Christy teaches on how to get un-burned out through real, sustainable self-care that lets us truly show up for ourselves - self-advocacy. We talk about her personal definition of self-care, how self-care can be problematic or even weaponized (especially under the expectations of capitalism), and how she believes that imagination is the ultimate un-burnout tool. Christy asks so many good questions that put these self-focused practices into a larger context - her passion for serving others is so clear. She also gave one of the best and most inspiring answers to “what are you excited about right now?”, my favorite question to ask at the end of each episode. I found thi

  • Support Through Transition with Shana Dewitt

    07/08/2020 Duración: 44min

In this episode, I had a lovely chat with Shana Dewitt, who is a business coach and strategist for women. She especially helps women through transitions, which I felt excited to talk about, because transitions can be difficult, even positive ones, and I don’t think that usually gets enough attention. We talked about preconceived notions about the value of hard work, having the courage to fully step into naming and owning a new role for yourself, and Shana shared some of her favorite prompts for working through limiting beliefs, which made me really happy that our conversation was recorded so I could refer back to it myself. We also found out that we’re both Tauruses who favor both the left and right sides of our brains, which was fun. I think you will enjoy this delightful conversation! Also, next week I’ll be releasing a new resource I’m really excited about - a PDF workbook called Fuel Your Creative Work with Compassionate Productivity - stay tuned for that!
