163 - Who Are You Counting On To Save You?
18/10/2015 Duración: 01h07minOverview- Who Are You Counting On To Save You? 1 Timothy 1:8-11. In my sermon today I talk about one of the biggest problems in both our and Paul’s day, which is and was people trying to work or earn their salvation by the keeping of the law of God. This would be the very one and the same idea of “I am a good person, or I am good enough morally to go to Heaven when I die”. Every single major world religion has works and a keeping of a Godly type of law at the very center of how they tell people they can be righteous before God, and go to Heaven when they die. Are obeying the works of the law of God the way we can get to Heaven when we die? And can we be good enough to go to Heaven when we die? The Bible says capital NO, but why? I address this issue of salvation by good works and the keeping of God’s law, and I answer all these questions in my sermon titled, Who are you counting on to save you. May God bless you, as you seek Him Pastor Ed

162 - False Teaching And Fables Had Crept In
11/10/2015 Duración: 01h04minOverview: False Teaching And Fables Had Crept In. 1 Timothy 1:1-7. First off, in my sermon today I give a short overview of the Book of 1 Timothy, along with who Paul and who Timothy were. Secondly I teach about how Paul makes Timothy the church’s Pastor because he was going away into Macedonia to preach, and the church had some problems and needed someone there to personally set it right. As the title of the sermon implies and the first 7 verses speak on, false teaching and fables had crept into this church, so that is what I mainly talk about today. I even take a look at the Christian church of today and we examine how these same things have crept into it as well. May God richly bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

161 - God Is A Rewarder Of Those That Diligently Seek Him
04/10/2015 Duración: 57minOverview- God Is A Rewarder Of Those That Diligently Seek Him. Matthew 28:1-20. In our message today we look at one of God’s amazing promises. In Hebrews 11:6, God says He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. Matthew starts off the amazing account of Christ rising from the dead to defeat death and satan, by telling us about the first people that had the opportunity of experiencing His promise in Hebrews 11:6. Who were those people? The Mary’s How does God reward the Mary’s for diligently seeking Jesus? Also we talk about how the guards and religious leaders respond to the news of Christ’s resurrection from the dead. How do they act towards this amazing news? I will answer these questions for you, IF you come and listen and diligently seek, or I should say diligently listen to this message. Blessings and may the Lord bless and reward you as you diligently seek Jesus today Pastor Ed

160 - Jesus Is Dead, But His Story Is Not Over
27/09/2015 Duración: 59minOverview: Jesus Is Dead, But His Story Is not Over. Matthew 27:57-66. Jesus has been put to death, but there are still many things that happen that are part of His story. And since there are more things that happened to Him, they must be taught on. Today we look at God’s provision for the body of Christ for a proper burial, and how God provides that provision for Him. God brings some secret disciples, along with some of the Mary’s to be His hands and feet to provide a proper burial for Jesus. These are on the God side of things. On the human side of things we talk about how these secret disciples along with the Mary’s show some amazing love for God and Christ through their actions, while the so called religious leaders of God act against God on Christ’s behalf by their actions. How did the secret disciples show amazing love towards God on behalf of Jesus Christ? How did the so called religious leaders of God act against God on Christ’s behalf? I answer these questions and talk on much more in this s

159 - Come Behind The Veil And Meet With God
20/09/2015 Duración: 53minOverview- Come Behind The Veil And Meet With God. Matthew 27:51-56. In our sermon today we read about the events that happened when Jesus Christ died. We read of a great earthquake, rocks splitting in two, along with some dead people getting up out of their graves and walking around in Jerusalem, and a veil in the temple of God splitting in two. What an amazing and powerful time this must have been. Now I taught on all these things Matthew mentioned, but God led me to mainly focus my message on the veil of the temple tearing in two. What was so important about this veil in the temple of God, that Matthew thought it worthy enough to record in his Gospel? Where did this veil come from, or what is its history? This veil has some amazing significance, and Matthew thought it worthy enough to write about, and I thought it worthy enough to spend most of the sermon talking on it. So come behind the veil of this sermon and listen to what I and the Bible have to say about this special veil of the temple that w

158 - The Extreme Love Of Christ Part 2
13/09/2015 Duración: 54minOverview- The Extreme Love Of Christ Pt. 2. Matthew 27:45-50 & Psalm 22. In last week’s message we studied these same verses to close with, but only learned a skin deep meaning of them, in regards to the extreme love of Christ. Today we take a more in depth look into verses 45 & 46 especially, at what Christ was saying when He said “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me”, along with an in depth reading of where His words originated, which was Psalm 22. Christ Jesus showed all humanity along with His persecutors some extreme love, especially in these two verses, while hanging on the cross. You may be wondering how He showed us His extreme love in these couple of verses. Well, come take a listen as I talk about it, and find out. May God bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed _________________________________________________________ Note: I initially planned on teaching verses 45-56, and in my recording I read these verses and spoke on what we were going to study past verse 50, but because I read Psalm

157 - The Extreme Love Of Christ
06/09/2015 Duración: 58minOverview- The Extreme Love Of Christ. Matt 27:27-50. In our sermon today we read of four different events that happen to Jesus Christ at the end of His earthly life that really, really show us His extreme love for all humanity. We read through and study the soldiers mocking Him, His crucifixion, the robbers crucified next to Him, and His death on the cross, and we go through these four events and look at just how He showed us His extreme love for all humanity. Jesus showed more love for sinners in these four events, than anyone has ever shown for anyone ever in the history of mankind. May God richly bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

156 - Jesus Stands Before The Governor
30/08/2015 Duración: 01h04minOverview- Jesus Stands Before The Governor. Matthew 27:11-26. In our sermon this week we read of how the religious leaders bring Jesus Christ to stand before Pilot, the governor of Judea, so that they could accuse Him, for they were trying to get Pilot to put Him to death. While the Jewish leaders are accusing Jesus, what is Pilot concerned about? Just how intent were the religious leaders in getting Pilot to condemn Jesus to death? Now the Bible tells us that while the religious leaders accused Jesus before Pilot, He answered nothing in defense for Himself. Why did Jesus not defend Himself against the false accusations of the Jews? I answer all of these questions and more in my Sermon titled Jesus Stands Before The Governor. May God richly bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

155 - The Terrible End Of Judas The Betrayer
23/08/2015 Duración: 59minOverview- The Terrible End Of Judas The Betrayer. Matt 27:1-10. In our sermon today we start out finding out what happens to Jesus after the bogus trial that the religious leaders hold for Him in the court of the high priest. But right after Matthew tells us what happens to Jesus after the trial, he switches to the account of the terrible end of Judas the betrayer. We find out that Judas becomes remorseful, and that he even gives back the money, all because he realizes that he betrayed the innocent man Jesus Christ. But does Judas repent of what he did to Jesus and die a saved man? So did Judas come into a right relationship with God before he died, or not. Or did Judas not really repent of his betrayal of Christ, and end up going to Hell for what he did to Christ? Many people are torn on this big question, so I put a tremendous emphasis on answering it in today’s sermon and we read about what scripture says concerning Judas and what happens to him. May God bless you as you seek Him today Pastor Ed

154 - Their Verdict Of Him Was Guilty, And Their Sentence Of Him Was Death
09/08/2015 Duración: 01h49sOverview- Their Verdict of Him Was Guilty, And Their Sentence Of Him was Death. Matthew 26:46-57. In our last sermon, we looked at how Judas came with a multitude of Roman soldiers to arrest Christ in the garden, and this week we get to see where they take Him. Where did they take Him? They take Him to a trial that was set up by the high priest and the council of the Sanhedrin, in the high priests courtyard, where they had already determined they would give Him a verdict of guilty, and sentence Him to death! But Jesus was innocent of any charges that anyone could have ever brought against Him because He never sinned or broke any laws period. So why take Him to trial by court, planning ahead of time to give Him a verdict of guilty, and sentence Him to death? Who is the judge and who was in the jury? Who is the prosecutor, and who is the defense? I answer all these questions and more in my sermon titled, Their Verdict of Him Was Guilty, And Their Sentence Of Him was Death. May the God of Heaven and e

153 - Peter’s Silly Attempt To Rescue Jesus
02/08/2015 Duración: 58minOverview- Peter’s Silly Attempt To Rescue Jesus. Matthew chapter 26:47-56. In our sermon today we looked at the next major event following Jesus Christ’s famous prayer in the garden with His disciples, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.” What is this next major event? Judas comes bringing a multitude of Roman soldiers to arrest Christ, and kisses Him with a kiss of betrayal. Today we look at the events surrounding this kiss of betrayal, including Peter’s silly attempt to rescue Jesus. What type of attempt did Peter make to rescue Jesus? Why do I consider it silly? Come and take a listen, and find out the answers to these questions and more, in my sermon titled, Peter’s Silly Attempt To Rescue Jesus. May the God bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

152 - The 5 Principles Christ Practiced In The Garden
26/07/2015 Duración: 55minOverview- The 5 Principles Christ Practiced In The Garden. Matthew 26:36-46. In our message today we studied what Christ did in the garden of Gethsemane with His disciples, right before Judas comes with the soldiers to take Him away. But in this message the Lord led me to teach it a little different than normal. We actually look at 5 amazing principles that Jesus Christ practiced in the garden with His disciples. And these principles that Christ practiced gave Him the ability to go through the tortures the cross brought, with strength and fortitude. Would you like to go through the trials of your life with more strength and fortitude, and handle them like Christ handled going to the cross? What are those 5 amazing principles that Jesus practiced in the garden that gave Him the strength He needed for the fiery trial He went through? Come, take a listen to the message and find out. 151 - It Happened Just As Christ Said
19/07/2015 Duración: 54minOverview- It Happened Just As Christ Said. Matthew 26:31-35 & 69-75. In our message today we read about Jesus telling Peter and the disciples that they were going to forsake Him and be scattered from Him, and we read of these things coming to pass. Jesus tells His disciples that they were going to forsake Him, but He was just quoting them the prophesy of Zachariah 13:7, where God foretold the event of the Messiah’s disciples rejecting Him, about 587 years before Jesus Christ was born. So even though the disciples and especially Peter, knew that Jesus was God in the flesh, did they accept what Christ told them? Come, take a listen and find out. I answered this question, plus much more in this sermon titled, It happened just as Christ said. May God bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

150 - Christ In The Passover
12/07/2015 Duración: 01h09minOverview- Christ In The Passover. Matthew 26:26-30. In our message we finish what we started last week in regards to Jesus and His disciples eating the Passover meal of the Jews. Now the Jews had celebrated this Passover meal off and on since God instituted it over 3,000 years before Jesus Christ ever lived, and they had done it a certain way for all that time. But as we read today in our text, Jesus breaks the mold of the traditional Passover meal as He changes two parts of it to tell His disciples and us, that He was actually represented in the Passover, even though it was instituted over 3,000 years before He was born. How could such a thing as this be? Well today I talk about how Jesus Christ is represented in the Passover, but it is not just me speaking. I have gotten permission from Jews for Jesus (A Messianic Jewish ministry), to play one of their videos titled, Christ in the Passover in our sermon today. If you listen to this message, you will hear David Brickner, executive director of Jews For

149 - The Savior Exposes His Betrayer
05/07/2015 Duración: 01h02minOverview- The Savior Exposes His Betrayer. Matthew 26:17-25. In our message today I talked about the topic of God’s sovereignty which is very misunderstood among Christians. God being Sovereign just means that He has the right to do what He wants to do among mankind. Some people take the fact that God is sovereign to mean that He is in control of every single thing that people do, but is that the case? In this message I also talked about how Jesus: 1- Calls out His betrayer in front of all the disciples, 2- Warns him of the consequences he was going to face for his betrayal of Christ and, 3- Tells Judas right to his face that he will be the one to betray Him (as if he didn’t already know). And we talk about how they respond to the things He says. How do the disciples respond to Jesus words? How did Judas respond to what Christ said? I answer all these questions and much more, in this message titled, The Savior Exposes His Betrayer. May God bless you, as you seek Him Pastor Ed

148 - The Betrayal Of Christ, By Judas
28/06/2015 Duración: 52minOverview- The Betrayal Of Christ, By Judas. Matthew 26:14-16. In our message today we read of the sad act of Judas betraying Jesus Christ to the religious leaders for the disgustingly small amount of 30 pieces or 30 shekels of silver. But why did Judas betray Jesus Christ? And why did he only sell Him out for 30 pieces of silver, which was no more than a year’s salary? We focus on these questions and much more in our sermon titled, the betrayal of Christ, by Judas. May God bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

147 - El Roi- The God Who Sees
21/06/2015 Duración: 53minOverview: El Roi- The God Who Sees. Matthew 26:1-13. In our message today we focus on the God who sees, or El Roi as Hagar calls Him in Genesis 16:13. We then talk about how Jesus emphasizes to His disciples, for the 3rd or 4th time at least, the fact that He was going to be taken away from them in just a little while. Lastly, we switch scenes, like in a movie, to the evil hearted religious leaders and elders of the people that had gathered together to plot the murder of Jesus. Does God really see everything His Christians do? Does God really see everything that those who are not His do? Why did Jesus continue to emphasize His brutal betrayal and murder to His disciples so many times? And lastly, was it coincidence that Jesus tells His disciples of His terrible demise, just before the evil hearted religious leaders and elders of the people gathered together to plan His murder? I answer all of these questions in my sermon titled, El Roi- The God who sees. May God bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

146 - The Separation Of The Sheep And The Goats
14/06/2015 Duración: 01h27sOverview- The Separation Of The Sheep And The Goats. Matthew 25:31-46. In our sermon today we study Jesus' words about a time that is to come where He will separate the peoples of the nations as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, so that He can judge them. He puts the sheep on His right hand, while He puts the goats on His left hand. The sheep will spend their eternity in God's Kingdom, while the goats will spend their eternity tormented in the lake of fire forever. Why do the sheep that stand on His right hand get to be in God's Kingdom? And why do the goats that are on His left hand going to spend their eternity in the lake of fire forever? Are you a sheep, or are you a goat? And, will you stand on the right hand of Christ during this judgment, or on His left? I answer all these questions and more in this sermon titled: The Separation Of The Sheep And The Goats. May God bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

145 - Is Your Faith Productive?
07/06/2015 Duración: 01h06minOverview- Is Your Faith Productive? Matthew chapter 25:14-30. In our message today we study the parable of the talents, where Jesus tells us that there are 3 different servants who receive some talents from their Master, who then leaves to go to a far away country. And when their Lord comes back he settles up accounts with each of them. Two of them receive good from their Lords hand, but one receives evil from their Lords hand. What is Jesus telling us in this parable? Who is the Lord or Master, and who are His servants? What does it all represent and why do two receive good from their Lords hand, and why does one receive evil from their Lords hand? In my sermon I interpret this parable and talk about all the little details Jesus gives us in it. May God richly bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

144 - The Wise & The Foolish Virgins
31/05/2015 Duración: 01h07minOverview- The Wise & The Foolish Virgins. Matthew 25:1-13. In this week’s message we study Jesus’ second teaching or illustration on the importance of Christians living watchful lifestyles, or faithful and repentant lifestyles until He returns. This week He gives us a parable about a Bridegroom that has gone away, and is coming back and 10 virgins (5 wise & 5 foolish) that are waiting for Him to return. Were these 5 wise, and 5 foolish virgins all Christians? Or were the 5 wise Christians only, while the 5 foolish were unsaved? Jesus says that they all took lamps, but the foolish were foolish because they didn’t take extra oil enough to last them for when the Bridegroom returned. What do the lamp and oil represent in this parable? I answer all of these questions and more in this sermon, entitled “The Wise & The Foolish Virgins.” May God bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed
