184 - His Death Brought Forgiveness, His Resurrection Brought New Life, But Is It All True?
27/03/2016 Duración: 53minOverview- His Death Brought Forgiveness, His Resurrection Brought New Life, But Is It All True? Matthew 27:45-50, and Acts 2:22-24. Happy resurrection day everyone, He is risen indeed!!! In my sermon today I give first billing to none other than Jesus Christ, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, of course, as He is worthy of our attention first of all. For if He had not given His life on the cross to pay for our sins, and had He not resurrected from the dead to give us new life, then where would we be? Nobody on planet earth would have any hope, period the end. I glorify Jesus Christ first of all, then turn our attention the evidences of His resurrection. There are lots of ways we can prove the truths of the Bible, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ is no different. So I spend about half of the message talking about an undeniable evidence of proof, that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is actually a real event, and actually one of the most provable historical events in all of history. I am not going to g

183 - Be Diligent To Present Yourself Approved To God
20/03/2016 Duración: 01h36sOverview – Be Diligent To Present Yourself Approved To God. 2 Timothy 2:14-21. So far in this chapter of 2 Timothy, Paul has really been focusing on teaching Timothy how a Christian is supposed to live their lives, and the type of focus on Christ that they are really supposed to have in their lives. Today in this sermon I cover Paul’s words to timothy in regards to the holiness of the words that come out of Christians mouths, and the type of conversations we are supposed to be involved in, verses the conversations we are not supposed to be involved in. What does God expect from someone He is saving? How does God expect Christians to speak? And just what kind of conversations does Paul say that Christians should stay out of? I cover all these questions in my sermon titled, Be Diligent To Present Yourself Approved To God. May God richly bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

182 - Christ Centric or Self Centric
13/03/2016 Duración: 55minOverview- Christ Centric or Self Centric. 2 Timothy 2:4-13. My sermon today covers the aspect of this section of scripture about what it means for a Christian to live a Christ centered life (being Christ centric), or a self-centered (self-centric) life. I also discuss the eternal benefits and disadvantages of both types of lifestyles. What does it mean to live a Christ centric lifestyle? What does it mean to live a self-centric lifestyle? What are the eternal advantages and disadvantages of the choices to live either one of these lifestyles? I answer these questions in my sermon titled "Christ Centric or Self Centric". May God bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

181 - Where's Your Focus?
28/02/2016 Duración: 54minOverview- What's Your Focus? 2 Tim 2:1-4. In my message today we study Paul’s Words to Tim and all Christians today, about a few different things that he wanted him and us today to stay focused on. First, be strong in the grace of Jesus Christ. Second, go out and get men and teach them his teachings, and teach them to do the same. Third, do it as a good soldier enduring hardship. Fourth and last, don’t get entangled in the worlds affairs, but be as a good soldier mainly engaged in warfare. Now, why is it important that Christians today stay focused on those points above? And what happens if we don’t stay focused on those issues Paul addresses here? Lastly, what warfare should Christians be engaged in, and why should we not get or be entangled in the worlds affairs? I answer all these questions and get in depth on all that Paul says here in my sermon titled, What’s Your Focus. May God richly bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

180 - You Must Hold Fast
21/02/2016 Duración: 59minOverview- You Must Hold Fast. 2 Timothy 1:13-18. In our message today we studied Paul’s commands to Timothy to HOLD FAST to his teachings, and KEEP up the practicing of the spiritual gift that God gave Him, and I talked about what these things translated to in real life. Then sadly I taught on Paul telling Timothy how ALL the Christians in Asia had forsaken him, including three people and one family that I believe Timothy knew, Phygellus, Hermogenes, Onesiphorus and his household. Why did Paul command Timothy to Hold fast to His teachings, and Keep up the practicing of his spiritual gift, then tell him about how all of the Christians in Asia had forsaken him? Is there a correlation between these two statements? I see one, how about you? Come, take a listen to the sermon, where I answer all of these questions, and talk about “You must hold fast”. May God richly bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

179 - Let The Redeemed Of The Lord Say So
14/02/2016 Duración: 58minOverview- Let The Redeemed Of The Lord Say So. 2 Tim 1:6-12. Paul tells Timothy in verse 8 of our text today “do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord”. In this statement, Paul is telling Timothy that he shouldn’t be ashamed of Jesus Christ and His Gospel, he refers to the Gospel in verse 10. So, in my sermon today I focus on Paul’s exhortation to Timothy, or to all Christians (since the Bible was written partly to every follower of Christ), to be unashamed of Jesus Christ and His Gospel. What does it mean to be ashamed of Jesus Christ and His Gospel? Why should the redeemed of the Lord say so? How strongly does Jesus Christ want the redeemed to say so? I answer all of these questions in my sermon titled, “Let The Redeemed Of The Lord Say So”. May God bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

178 - God Is Enough Pt 2
07/02/2016 Duración: 56minOverview- God Is Enough Pt. 2. 2 Timothy 1:1-7. I didn’t originally intend on this subject being the focus of back to back sermons two weeks in a row, but with the things that I have had going on in my life right now, what Paul was going through at the time he wrote this letter, and God leading me to study 2 Tim as our next book of Bible to study, I got the vision from God for this message, and so ran with it. What things do I have going on in my life that pertain to this message? What things did Paul have going on in his life at the time he wrote this letter to Timothy? Is God enough for you? I answer these questions and more in this sermon titled, “God Is Enough Pt. 2” May God richly bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

177 - God Is Enough!
31/01/2016 Duración: 59minOverview - God Is Enough. 1 Tim 6:6-21. In our message today, I mainly focus on what Paul says to Timothy in verse 6 of Chapter 6, Godliness with contentment is great gain, or simply when God is enough, you will have great prosperity, but not financial prosperity, spiritually prosperity. But what happens when God is not enough, or God stops being enough for a Christian? As Paul writes about this as well, so I also turn my attention to the dangers associated to a person desiring to be wealthy and lusting after the things of this world. What are the dangers of not having a mindset of God is enough? What does Jesus have to say on this subject? How do we stay away from the trap of running after the wealth of this world, and the deceitfulness of its riches? This sermon titled, “God Is Enough”, has the Biblical answers to these questions and more. Please listen along, as the church in America definitely needs the words of Paul here in 1 Timothy 6:6-21. May God richly bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

176 - If You Abide In My Word You Are My Disciples
24/01/2016 Duración: 01h04minOverview- If You Abide In My Word You Are My Disciples. 1 Tim 6:2-5. In my sermon, I mainly focus on Paul’s advice to Timothy, the Christians in Ephesus, and us today, to GET AWAY FROM PEOPLE THAT TEACH TEACHINGS that go against the teachings of Jesus Christ, Paul, and the Bible’s doctrine of Godliness. Why would Paul write this in his letter here? Jesus makes it very clear in the Gospel of John 8:31 that only those who abide in His word are His disciples. Breaking this down; a disciple is simply a follower, abiding is living in or by, and His Word is His written teachings that we have in the Bible today. So Jesus says that only those that live in and by His Word or the teachings in our Bibles today, ARE His FOLLOWERS. And the Bible says only followers of Jesus Christ are saved and going to Heaven when they die. And so, if the opposite is true, this statement of Jesus means that people that don’t abide, or live in or by His teachings, are not His disciples, or His followers, and are not going to go t

175 - Don't Dishonor, Nor Despise, But Represent
17/01/2016 Duración: 56minOverview- Don't Dishonor, Nor Despise, But Represent. 1 Tim 6:1-2. In our sermon today we study Paul’s words to Timothy as to how Christians who were either purchased slaves (so someone’s property), or willful servants (same as people today who have jobs with companies) were to behave towards their bosses or owners who were either Christians or unbelievers. Paul references that Christians of his time had slaves. Are Christians supposed to own slaves? Does Paul say here that slavery is OK? Is a Christian supposed to treat an unbelieving boss different than a believing boss? I cover all these questions and much more in my sermon titled “Don't dishonor, nor despise, but represent”. May God richly bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

174 - To Whom Much Is Given Much Is Required
10/01/2016 Duración: 51minOverview- To Whom Much Is Given Much Is Required. 1 Timothy 5:17-25. In our message today we continued to read, and I continue to teach on Paul’s instruction to Timothy as to how church members should be treated. Paul spends the entire chapter five teaching Timothy how church members should be treated. And this week in our study of the last verses of chapter five, Paul continues to teach Timothy how to treat the church’s elders, or pastors/overseers, because they are church members also. Paus tells Timothy how to treat them if they are serving the church of God well, and he tells Timothy how to handle them if they are sinning. How should Pastors and overseers be treated under these different circumstances? Come and take a listen and find out what Paul says on these matters; you will probably be very surprised. May God Bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

173 - Are You Still Satisfied With Christ
27/12/2015 Duración: 56minOverview- Are You Still Satisfied With Christ. 1 Timothy 5:1-16. Today I teach in depth on Paul’s direction to Timothy on how he should handle those in his congregation who are in need of correction, and on Paul’s direction to Timothy on which widows the church should support and which ones the church should not support. In this section of scripture, Paul does give some interesting direction to Tim, of the younger widows that the church should not support, and says, for when they have begun to grow wanton against Christ, they desire to marry, having condemnation because they have cast off their first faith. Paul is saying there that they wanted to marry because they were no longer satisfied with Jesus Christ. Can this apply to us today? Can we ever stop being satisfied with Jesus Christ? Can we stop believing He is enough for us? I believe that if it happened to the widows of Paul’s day, then it absolutely could happen to anyone even today. So I close the sermon with some good questions to think about

171 - The Biblical Doctrine Of Eternal Salvation
20/12/2015 Duración: 58minOverview- The Biblical Doctrine Of Salvation. 1 Tim 4:12-16. In our sermon today we go through the first four verses of our text and I just comment a very little on them as they are just concerning Paul’s commands to Timothy in regards to his personal ministry serving the church at Ephesus. I put most of my focus on verse 16 where Paul tells us why teaching the true doctrines of the Bible, including who Jesus Christ is, and leading the church in a Godly way is really important. It is concerning people’s eternal salvation. Today I speak on the importance of a church teaching the correct Biblical doctrines of the Bible, and who Jesus Christ is, and on how Jesus Christ tells people they must be saved. Are you truly saved according to how Jesus says someone gets saved? Come and take a listen to the sermon, (if you care about your eternity) and find out exactly what Jesus expects you to do to be saved. May God richly bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

170 - One Must Endure To The End To Be Saved
13/12/2015 Duración: 55minOverview- One Must Endure Until The End To Be Saved. 1 Timothy 4:6-11. In our sermon today we first examine the actual statistics and demographics of the Christian church of today to see if they really prove the statements I made last week about the Christian church of today being in great apostasy. They are some sad statistics for sure. The main part of our sermon focuses on Gods promises to people having stipulations and conditions. Like the promise that God gives of eternal life. God promises eternal life, not guarantees it without stipulations and conditions. One of the stipulations for a Christian to get to Heaven is that they must endure until the end, in their faith in Jesus Christ, in order to be saved. Are you really hanging on to Christ Jesus, and having faith and confidence in Him right now, or are you not? Have you been saved, but have backslidden from God? If you died today would you still go to Heaven? Please listen along to hear what the Bible has to say on these issues, because God spe

169 - The Great Apostasy
06/12/2015 Duración: 01h01minOverview- The Great Apostasy. 1 Timothy 4:1-5. In our sermon today we focused most of our message on 1 Tim 4:1- Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith. This is called apostasy from the faith, which just means there will be a falling away from the simple truths of God’s Word and who Jesus Christ really is. And what we have seen up to this point in time has been a great falling away from the simple truths of God’s Word and who Jesus Christ really is, which is why the sermon is titled, the great apostasy. So in my sermon today I speak out on many of the different apostate and false beliefs that are coming out of the so-called Christian churches in our world, and I use this message to expose them by shining the light of God’s simple truths upon them. Apostasy from the true faith of Jesus Christ is a terrible thing because only the one true Jesus Christ and the true teachings of the Bible can help someone get saved. Which means that the false and apostate teachings

168 - God's Standards For Those Running His Church
29/11/2015 Duración: 01h04minOverview- God's Standards For Those Running His Church. 1 Timothy 3:1-16. In our message today We study the entire chapter of 1 Timothy 3, which is Paul’s charge to Timothy for the church in Ephesus, and for our churches today. We talk about what God requires the leaders of His church to hold themselves, their families and their wives to, in order for them to be qualified to lead His church. I teach on and comment on each requirement for both pastors and deacons and close with some of the most major violations of these requirements of God through Paul in our churches of today. May God richly bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

167 - God's Not A Sexist
22/11/2015 Duración: 01h05minOverview- God’s Not A Sexist, 1 Timothy 2:8-15. In our message today we continue to study the teachings of the Apostle Paul to Timothy in regards to church structure for Timothy as a guide to him so that he can lead this church. But since God is relevant yesterday, today and tomorrow, we know that this section of scripture is also relevant for our day today as well, because God inspired it to be written. So, in our message today we study a very controversial section of scripture, where Paul tells Timothy in 1 Timothy 2:12 that he does not permit women to have authority over a man in God’s church, which would be saying that a woman is not supposed to be a Pastor over men. Yet today in our day and age, November 22, 2015, there are literally thousands of women pastors all over the world that claim to be Christian, and have authority over men. How can these things be so? How can women pastors claim to be Christian and lead Christian Churches and have authority over men, even though Paul says that he does not

166 - The Mediator
15/11/2015 Duración: 01h03minOverview- The Mediator. 1 Timothy 2:5-7. In our sermon today we studied one of the most powerful verses in the Bible. 1 Tim 2:5- For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. This verse declares the fact that there is only one God, (as the world would have a big problem with that) and that there is only one mediator or someone that goes to God for us to carry our prayers to Him, the man Jesus Christ. But, there are many over the last millennia, centuries, and in our world today that would say that we can pray to other Biblical historical figures like Mary the mother of Jesus, and the saints of old, and they can take our prayers to God, just like Jesus Christ does. And so we have these two contradicting points to the one main point of this verse, but what does the whole Bible have to say on this matter? Can we pray to Mary the mother of Jesus and the saints of old, or, is Jesus really the only one that can take our prayers to God, as Paul says in 1 Tim 2:5? This is a ve

164 - The Grace Of The Lord Jesus Christ Is Exceedingly Abundant Towards Even The Worst Of Sinners
25/10/2015 Duración: 58minOverview- The Grace Of The Lord Jesus Christ Is Exceedingly Abundant Towards Even The Worst Of Sinners. 1 Timothy 1:12-17. In our message today we studied the words of Paul to Timothy telling him quite a few neat things about himself and Jesus Christ. Paul teaches us about the person he used to be before Jesus Christ changed his heart, he teaches us about a principle that Jesus Christ taught on faithfulness, and showed us how this principle applied to himself in his life, and he even taught us about God’s grace and love towards him even before he was saved, though he was an evil man towards Christ and His church, because he did it in unbelief and ignorance. But the biggest thing that Paul taught us about Jesus Christ today is this. Jesus Christ offers second chances to even the worst of sinners, to get right with God the same way He did with Paul, who considered Himself, chief of sinners. How did Jesus offer Paul a second chance to get right with God, and what did God do with Paul once he got right with H
