snacktime - monster sized monster @ moshmellow 6.13.2023
30/01/2025 Duración: 12minRusty doing Rusty shit. If you know you know, if you don't... uhhhhh be careful with those eardrums, k? Monster Sized Monster remains one of the knifey-est listens in STL. Recorded by Dingus with their Zoom recording thingus. First time stopping in Moshmellow. Liked it better aesthetically and acoustically than the old Foam days, but still felt like everywhere I stood I was in the way LOL. Show was a goodtime, also on the bill that evening was Hudai, Haunted Hers, and our good pals Brick Thieves, who you heard from last week in Episode 64. You did go listen to episode 64 right? It's good.

snacktime - noisecamp 2024 "the beast awakens, rudely"
06/01/2025 Duración: 23minNoisecamp hadn't been a thing since 2014, so most of the people at Interfuse 2024 had no idea what we were about- and if they had bothered to guess, were mostly drastically wrong. We got some fresh blood because the people that it is going to click with, it clicks instantly. Everyone else... well, some people you never get the opportunity to win over if they don't hate you a little first. Ask around, and there will be a lot of "oh gaaaaaawd" but pretty much all of them will admit there was at least one point where they stopped and went "what the hell was that?!? that was cool." Nobody can say we didn't bring immediacy and radical expression anyway. So, here is the sound of yr boi kicking out the first live sounds of this edition of Noisecamp, and of hundreds of ravers and hippies suddenly realizing the burn was going to be a lot longer than they realized... We'll be back eventually... 2025? Hmmmmmmmm. Dunno, we'll see. Likely take this year off, but holler if you're interested. There's another

snacktime - ben ricketts @ hi tone 09.12.2024
31/12/2024 Duración: 45minYo. Dave again. If you are aware of our particular cycles of idiosyncracies, you were probably already assuming I was the one gumming up the works around here lately. It's true, I have teased temporally relevant snacks that went cold on the counter, promised vintage selections from the vaults and never went down to the cellar to fetch them, and generally sat around with assthumbs instead of laboring episodically. It's been a long, rough year, and I for one am ready to leave this one behind. It occurred to me that one of the things I have been sitting on would actually be perfect to play us out today. Back in September, Ben Ricketts announced he was playing a show for his birthday, retiring a bunch of songs, and taking a hiatus to refresh and reset after the gnarly time he'd been having himself. He's been one of our favorite singer-songwriter types since oh so many moons ago when Tubby Tom first brought him to me at the Way Out. I was supposed to do a remix for a song from his excellent album "Songs for

snacktime - roger dodger and the deaf soviets "perestroika"
30/12/2024 Duración: 19minHey gang. Dave checking in. During the five years that I worked at the Way Out Club, I am absolutely certain no single person played there more than Bryan Wilson, AKA Roger Dodger. So many nights I walked in to that place not really sure what I was opening up for, and if the first person strolling through the door carrying gear was Roger, I knew I could relax; it was going to be a good time. He was a cheerful guy that loved to play, was always good for a laugh, and legitimately cared about everybody he came into contact with. Every post on social media, every show announcement, every event page, was signed off "Roger Loves You!" He lived his whole life in St. Louis, and began his musical career at 16 with a pawn shop guitar named Nellie that his father bought him. He would play for and with just about anybody, just for the love of playing music. He spent time in numerous bands (often concurrently) including Close2Zero, Flashback, Incredible Goats, St. Villagers, and a short jaunt with Dirty Bombsh
