Pastor Alex reminded us of a foundational principle in the Christian life that isn’t as prevalent today. Paul describes the laying on of hands as an elementary principle of our faith, yet many believers don’t know about it or see it practiced in our churches. And yet, it’s something God has established from the beginning. We see the laying on of hands throughout both the Old Testament and the New. When it is practiced, we see power, impartation, and God directly calling and appointing leaders, no matter how small the role may seem. May we be zealous to be used by the Lord, to receive spiritual gifts, and to walk fully in the call of God!

Celebrate the power and meaning of the resurrection of Jesus Christ; proof that He is the Son of God and that everything He said is true (Romans 1:2–4). Because He rose, you can have victory over sin, death, and the enemy, and you are no longer bound but empowered to live out your God-given purpose through the same power that raised Him from the dead (Romans 6:4–6; Ephesians 1:17–20). This message is a reminder that the resurrection is the foundation of your faith, giving you purpose for today and unshakable hope for eternity (John 11:25–26).

There’s a reason we call Good Friday “good.” The blood of Jesus wasn’t shed just to cover our sins, but to completely take them away. Not hidden or managed. Totally removed! Paid in full! Never let the weight of the cross become something common to you, because it cost God everything. And thank You God, that’s not the end of the story. What looked like death is about to reveal life. Resurrection Sunday is coming!

Prayer is not meant to be powerless, it’s meant to be effective. When we truly walk with God, pray in faith, and align with His Word and His will, our prayers carry authority. We’re called to live like Jesus did, walking in power, making an impact, and advancing His Kingdom. It starts with knowing Him as Father, approaching Him with reverence, and surrendering our will for His. When our hearts, faith, and prayers line up with Him, we will begin to see mountains move. Pastor Alex taught us how to judge God’s way. As the rise of accusations occur, how and when do we judge? We don’t judge the world. We are called to walk rightly within the body of Christ, carefully, humbly, and in order. God has established authority in the home and the church, and we are only called to judge where we are accountable. Judgement in the Church is meant to lead to repentance and life. Step outside of that, and it leads to confusion. Stay within it, and it brings life. Pastor Davidson encouraged us to keep our eyes on Jesus. Every day, there are things that pull and fight for our attention. When Martha had Jesus in her own house, the Word tells us she was distracted and worried about many things. How many times has Jesus tried to encounter us, yet we are caught up in the hustle and bustle of every day life? We can’t let distractions steal our focus. God often uses small trials to prepare us for bigger moments. Like Peter stepping out of the boat, faith requires us to keep our eyes on Jesus even when the winds and waves rise. When we stay focused, prayerful, and filled with the Spirit, God equips us to stand in every storm and walk in the purpose He’s prepared for us. Keep your faith, don’t be distracted, and know that He desires to spend time with you. Pastor Alex asked us a question to wrap up our series - how can an unrighteous person stand before a righteous God? The Gospel reveals that righteousness is not something we earn, it’s something we receive through faith in Jesus Christ. Because of the cross, a divine exchange took place: our sin for His righteousness. We are justified, declared not guilty, not because of our works, but because of what Christ’s finished work on the cross. Through saving grace, receiving this grace also transforms us. We are saved by grace through faith, and that same faith begins to produce fruit in our lives. Be set free from the yoke of working for your salvation, the burden of comparison, and enter into His grace and mercy. From there, our works begin to be acts of worship. This Sunday, Pastor Alex reminded us as we continued on our series of righteousness that it’s easy to compare ourselves to others, to justify ourselves, and think that we're good enough. Self-righteousness says, “I’m not that bad.” The Gospel says, “I’m spiritually bankrupt without Him.” Humility opens the door to righteousness. Grace meets us when we stop comparing and start confessing. The cross still matters and it must move us to a place of humility and repentance. The truth is, none of our works are close to God's holiness and righteousness. He is the only One who is good. Pastor Alex showed us when we define righteousness ourselves, we drift into pride or despair. What we really need to do is allow God to define righteousness, and look to Him for the standard. In a culture that constantly redefines truth, even in the church, righteousness is not measured by people, but by God’s unchanging character. Righteousness doesn’t change because God doesn’t change. He doesn’t pursue righteousness, He is righteous. His holiness is the standard, and His ways are always just. When we compare ourselves to others, we miss it. When we look to God as the standard for righteousness, we realize our need for God. Our righteousness will never be enough, but Jesus offers an exchange: His for ours. Pastor Alex reminded us that at some point in our walk with the Lord, we will face loneliness. It can feel like being unseen, unheard, rejected, or forgotten. It can come through loss, betrayal, transition, sin, or even the weight of your calling. If ignored, loneliness can turn into isolation, depression, wrong relationships, and even a drifting faith. But God never intended for us to remain alone. He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those whose spirits are crushed. And we can turn to Him in our times of need. When loneliness comes, don’t isolate, lean into God. Worship. Confess. Gather with believers. His presence changes everything. For our first Holy Spirit Fire Conference sessions, Pastor Alex reminded us that we are designed for the presence of God. We were created to be in God's presence. Once man fell and were removed from God's presence, we began to die. Knowledge alone doesn't transform us, encountering Him does. The people in the Bible knew the laws, heard about Jesus' teachings, but once they sat with Him, they were changed. Many people come to church to hear something, when God is inviting us to experience Him. We thrive in HIs presence. That's where everything comes alive. God will meet with those who pursue His presence. The question is, do you desire it? This morning, Pastor Alex shared with us that God isn’t careless or forgetful, He keeps records of our lives in books. Scripture shows us that heaven records lives, choices, victories, faith, and even tears. God has a book written about your life, revealing that you were intentionally created with purpose and a divine plan. You were never a mistake. This is why how we live matters. Not just on Sundays, but every day. God is loving, merciful, and compassionate, but He is also holy. No matter the accusations of the enemy, what matters most is this: is your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life? For our last service in the mall, Pastor Alex invited us to hear what God cares about most, people. We get to hear how the Lord has used Oceans the past several years to impact and change people’s lives. We eagerly look forward to what God has in store for us in this next season. We know He is purposeful, has equipped us, and goes before us. We pray these testimonies bless you, encourage you, and inspire you into the next season.

Pastor Alex shared this message that he desires us to remember. Be confident in this one thing: God is faithful, and He will finish what He started in you. Nothing about your life, where you are, what you’ve faced, or what you’re still struggling with, has taken Him by surprise. He called you, saved you, and delivered you for a purpose.Like Israel and Gideon, we can forget what God has already done for us when things get difficult. But, God continually draws us back to Himself, reminding us that He is our deliverer, healer, and our provider. Even when we feel hidden, weak, or insignificant, God sees us differently. He fulfills His plans not because of our strength, but because of His.Today, the Word of the Lord is this: be fully confident that He will complete the work He began in you. Regardless of how you feel right now, God is still busy with your life. There is only one requirement: respond. Lay your life before Him, surrender your heart, and come back to the altar. Pastor Davidson reminded us that God has called us to live as a spiritual people, walking in the Spirit so we can overcome the world. Through an everyday relationship with Him, we gain strength, power, and a deeper understanding of who we are and whose we are. Following Jesus is a daily choice, denying ourselves, picking up our cross, and fully surrendering to God’s will. One powerful way to do this is through fasting, which helps us overcome the flesh and become more sensitive to the Holy Spirit. When the Spirit leads, breakthrough follows. As the Church, we are entering a season that requires full surrender. Prayer and fasting stir our spiritual senses and prepare us for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God moves in a praying, seeking, hungry church. Let us pursue Him with humility, expectation, and faith, trusting that He will speak and move in powerful ways as we prepare ourselves and our hearts for the Daniel Fast. The first message of the year matters. It sets the tone for everything ahead. Pastor Alex highlighted the importance of this message as we enter into the new year. In Revelation 3:14–22, Jesus speaks to the church of Laodicea with both warning and deep compassion. This wasn’t a church in obvious sin, it was a church that had become lukewarm. Self-sufficient. Comfortable. Looking just like the world. Laodicea sat between Hierapolis, known for healing hot springs, and Colossae, known for refreshing cold water. But Laodicea’s water was lukewarm. It was good for nothing. Jesus used what they understood to show them their spiritual condition. The western church faces the same danger today. Prosperity can lead to complacency. Success can lead to self-reliance. And when we lose intimacy with Jesus, we lose our authority, our boldness, and our impact. Yet this letter is rooted in love. He’s standing at the door, knocking, calling us back to intimacy. As we step into this year, may we refuse lukewarm Christianity

Pastor Alex showed us how we finish this year matters.One of the greatest weapons God has given us is praise. Not passive praise, but praise that rises from the depths of our hearts. The Bible calls it a garment because praise doesn’t just lift us emotionally, it covers us, protects us, and repels the spirit of heaviness.Heaviness can come suddenly, through family situations, finances, fear, or despair. But, God has provided an immediate solution. When we choose praise, God’s authority is released. Scripture shows us that when praise goes up, it establishes heaven’s rule in the room. It shifts atmospheres, silences the enemy, and invites God to fight battles we were never meant to fight ourselves. This is why breakthrough so often follows worship, because the battle belongs to the Lord.As we close this year, we are reminded: it’s not too late to praise Him. Pastor Alex reminded us the abundant life Jesus promised isn’t about comfort, money, or an easy road, it’s an abundant, spiritual life. Scripture calls it zoe: life that comes from the Spirit, and perissos: an extraordinary, overflowing life that lacks nothing spiritually. Jesus is the river of life, and the Holy Spirit is the One who brings that life to us and through us. We are called to be a fountain of living water for others. When we experience a blockage of the Spirit flowing in our lives, we can restore it with believing all that Jesus said, not just part of it. Repent, ask, and come back to His presence. He is ready to fill you again. Let the river flow.
