Pastor Alex reminded us the abundant life Jesus promised isn’t about comfort, money, or an easy road, it’s an abundant, spiritual life. Scripture calls it zoe: life that comes from the Spirit, and perissos: an extraordinary, overflowing life that lacks nothing spiritually. Jesus is the river of life, and the Holy Spirit is the One who brings that life to us and through us. We are called to be a fountain of living water for others. When we experience a blockage of the Spirit flowing in our lives, we can restore it with believing all that Jesus said, not just part of it. Repent, ask, and come back to His presence. He is ready to fill you again. Let the river flow. Pastor Mike encouraged us to walk in the spirit of might.The spirit of might is God’s power working through yielded hearts. It gives us power to obey, to stand fearless, and to carry out God’s assignments in total victory. We are no longer victims. We were created for relationship, and God Himself invites us into the deepest one of all: friendship with Him. From the garden with Adam and Eve to Abraham, Moses, and the disciples, Scripture shows that God longs to walk with His people in closeness, trust, and shared heart. Friendship with God is not automatic. It is intentional, relational, and marked by love, obedience, and agreement with His ways. As we pursue Him, align our lives with His Word, and seek His presence above everything else, He draws us into deeper intimacy and begins to reveal His heart. This is where transformation happens. This is where we hear His voice. This is where true friendship begins. We weren’t made to simply serve God from a distance. We were made to walk with Him. Pastor Alex encouraged us how whole we can’t always control what others do, but we can examine our own hearts. Let our lives be a testimony of what God is doing. Pastor Alex reminded us of the power of thanksgiving. It’s more than a holiday, it sets the atmosphere of our hearts. In this sermon, Pastor Alex shared how we are called to walk in both the Word and the Spirit, just as God modeled from the very beginning. Jesus Himself, the Word made flesh, didn’t begin His ministry until the Spirit came upon Him. The early church lived the same way, moving in power because the Word and the Spirit worked hand-in-hand. When the Spirit breathes on the Word, boldness rises, lives change, and transformation follows. The Word without the Spirit becomes dry, and the Spirit without the Word becomes disorderly—but together they produce holy fire. You have more than power — you have authority. This week, Pastor Alex reminded us that God’s power isn’t limited to physical healing. Jesus came to heal minds, restore souls, and give us authority — the legal right to stand against the enemy. The early church didn’t just walk in power; they walked in authority. Before the Holy Spirit was poured out, Jesus gave authority to His disciples and the seventy. They cast out demons and healed the sick — and we’re called to do the same. As followers of Christ, we don’t need to fear the enemy or darkness. Jesus has given us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions.
