The dark can be scary. It makes us think of evil. But where there is light, there is clarity. Walking with Jesus means we walk in the light because we are the light. He is the true light that came into this dark world to save us from a life of evil. But to walk in the light, we have to walk in constant worship of Jesus. We also walk by displaying the fruit of light, doing what is good and right and true. And we expose the darkness...because when you are full from walking with God, then your life of light is going to be a persuasive influence on the dark world around you. So join us as we consider what it means to walk in the light as the children of light.

James 1-26-27. The Marks of true religion. What does it mean to be a Christian-- The answer to this question depends on who you are talking to. James wants to help us see what true religion is that is acceptable to God. If you think you are a Christian, then consider your words, your compassion toward the vulnerable and the way you keep yourself pure.

It is easy to think that you are a loving person by hiding behind the way you do things for other people, but is it really coming from a heart of love-- Paul shows us that we can walk in love because we have God's love poured into our hearts. But what does that look like-- Jesus shows us the way of unconditional, sacrificial, sweet smelling love that we should imitate. Join us as we consider what it means to walk in love as God's people.

Why is it important to be thankful-- Psalm 9. If you look back at this past year, you might have many up's and down's. You might feel exhausted as you wait for December to arrive...you might be tired from all the opression and hardships you have faced this year. So how do we find the strength to go on-- By being thankful people- It is important that we are intentional about giving thanks because it makes the good times even better. It helps to keep God and who he is and what he has done on our lips and it causes us to sing his praises- Because when we are thankful, we realise that God is in control and He is coming soon- All of this helps us to fight against grumbling and complaining when we can be worshiping instead. Join us as we consider 4 reasons why it is important to be a thankful person.

Walking in worthiness and unity. Ephesians 4-1-3. Walking with God is a privilege of every believer. However, many people want to walk with God but not with God's people. Paul helps us see that those who walk with God will be eager to protect the unity they have in Jesus Christ. For that to happen we need to walk in a way that is worthy of the gospel. Having the right attitude toward one another. Instead of conflict, anger or being annoyed with others, God calls us to be humble and patient with one another.
