Episodios

  • NLMa 058 GrandTotal

    14/01/2010 Duración: 34min

Meet GrandTotal. Feature rich but not too much of a hassle. Exactly how I like it. A great intuitive invoicing app.

  • NLMA 057 Vinoteka

    23/11/2009 Duración: 23min

About this episode: You Mac nuts all remember the wonder that was Delicious Library, not? It set the scene for an era of Mac Apps that were developed with an eye for detail and looks. Vinoteka is a classic example of that art! Not only is it extremely userfrienly, it also looks stunning. It's apps like Vinoteka that made me start this podcast, and frankly, I'm glad I found out about it. As for it's purpose? It's a wine management app. You can store references, actual bottles you own and tastings in it, and there will be an iPhone app for it soon. Have a sip! Application name: Vinoteka Developer: Vinotekasoft Promotion in podcast: yes, win one of 3 licenses Brought to you by: This episode of NeatLittleMacApps is brought to you by Vinotekasoft, creators of Vinoteka, the best wine software and cellar manager on your Mac! 02/09/2009 Duración: 15min

This is part of the archives of the Podfaded Systemtrash podcast I did together with Dimitri Larmuseau of Sourcetrunk. It's just a little amuse gueule until I get the next episode out. Enjoy!

  • NLMA 054 EvoCam

    25/06/2009 Duración: 14min

Simply the best Webcam software package there is! Oh, you don't agree? Prove me wrong (take your time).

  • NLMA 053 Photomatix Pro

    28/04/2009 Duración: 21min

HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. It's a technique to create vivid cool looking pictures that grab their colors and detail from a differently exposed set of pictures... Sounds difficult? It's not with Photomatix Pro.

  • NLMA 052 Icon Composer

    22/01/2009 Duración: 05min

For those of you freeloaders who refuse to pay good money for an app that allows you to create Icons... Here's your chance. It appears our friends at Apple have all the tools you need, all at your disposal, for free. Isn't that nice? And what is more. It works (what else are we accustomed to from Apple) in the most simple way possible.

  • NLMA 051 Timeline 3D

    05/01/2009

Screenshot based on Wikipedia article. Timeline 3D offers for a great way to display... wel... events! But these aren't the dull grey timelines one had to make in school. These aren't the numbing presentations where all the stuff just turns into one big pile of dates and facts. Timeline 3D will offer you a visually stunning overview of all your timelines. With the various export features, this app will deliver you the goods, for teachers, writers, business people or students. This episode is brought to you by Bee Docs. Again, we all know that I only review applications I personally find worth reviewing, so I dearly appreciate it when developer goes ahead and sponsors the show anyway. That said, be sure to pay a quick visit to the site of beedocs at www.beedocs.com. Visit the site not just for dowloading the demo of Timeline (which you'll need to win a free license in the episode) but also check out all possible areas where Timeline 3D really shines (education, at work, for writers and businesses). Thank

  • NLMA 050 DMG Architect

    25/12/2008 Duración: 10min

DMG Architect Style. It's what makes the difference in a lot of cases. And continuity of that style allows for good branding. And good branding is good for business... But it doesn't stop with the creation of a good nicely styled Application for example. The delivery should be nicely packaged too. DMG Architect gives you that option, no matter what the package is.

  • NLMA 049 Poladroid

    16/11/2008 Duración: 06min

Poladroid. If you want to revive the beautiful retro styled polaroids of days gone by, this is the app to do it. It's original, useful and fun to work with. A true NeatLittleMacApp.

  • NLMA 048 interview Marshall Kirk McKusick

    05/11/2008 Duración: 26min

This episode I'll be interviewing Marshall Kirk McKusick. Most known for his extensive work on BSD, and in a way one of the granddaddies of our beloved OS X. We'll be talking on how he got the copyright on the BSD Daemon (Beastie, drawn by John Lasseter), BSD in general end how to trash a computer. Enjoy PS.: this interview was recorded for the now podfaded Systemtras Podcast I cohosted with Dimitri Larmuseau (Sourcetrunk Podcast).

  • NLMA 047 Billings 3

    17/10/2008 Duración: 34min

Usability: If ever there was a thing that attracts me the most in Mac software, it's clean UI design and usability. It's this thought-out approach that a lot of Mac devs have on their software. It's often the little intrinsic details that get me excited about an app. You actually 'want' to start working with it just for the sheer fun of it. This weeks app is no different. Except,... I also need to work with it instead of just 'wanting' to work with it. App name: Billings 3 Developer: Marketcircle Promotion in podcast: yes, win one license of Billings 3

  • NLMA 046 Systemtrash interview Leo Laporte

    07/10/2008 Duración: 27min

What's this all about? A few years ago I cohosted this vidcast called Systemtrash. It has podfaded by now, but I had a series of interviews with some very famous people in the podcastosphere (Leo Laporte, Ze Frank, Marshall Kirk McKusick, Adam Christianson,..). Looking back I realize that those were the beginning days of podcasting. Ze hadn't even started to do his 'The Show' series, the TWIT army just had it's first few shows to listen to. Adam practically was the only real Mac-related show in town. And I'm glad I had the opportunity to talk with these people. Hopefully you'll enjoy these intermissions of the show. Rest assured, a 'true' NLMA episode will be coming really soon, but do keep me posted if you enjoy these interviews.

  • NLMA 045 Hazel (repost)

    08/09/2008 Duración: 17min

Clean Desk policy at it's best? Here's an app that enables you to have a robot on your system that continuously manages and/or cleans your system and trash.
