This week, Paul buys a butcher knife, Batman 89 and Superman 78 are getting back into the game, Todd McFarlane wants to Spawn an entire universe, please don't attempt to grab a golf ball out of a gator's mouth, we discuss the Dark Horse four issue mini-series Count Crowley: Reluctant Midnight Monster Hunter and have a extended talk about story telling and how people can access and support smaller comic titles, and Steve has to take the President's Day Pop Culture Quiz. 

This week grown ups ruin everything, someone committed grand theft chicken and waffles, we take a look at 2009's My Bloody Valentine (IN 3D!!!!!) and discuss the merits of it as a remake and what it does and doesn't do better than the original, and we play a remake themed version of Higher or Lower. 

This week Steve brags about his swag, Texas was on alert for a good guy, we have a mini-discussion about WandaVision and how we feel about it so far, we get showered in blood and smiles as we talk about 2020's Psycho Goreman, and Paul has a quiz about National Snack Food Month. 

This week kick off our year long look at sequels with one that is very divisive for Steve, Tim Burton's Batman Returns. We talk first about the success of the original Batman film and how Tim Burton wanted to do something 'different' with the next installment. We dig into the portrayals of Danny DeVito's Penguin, Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman and Batman's Michael Keaton and if their translation from the page to the screen is successful. We also question the effectiveness of a penguin army. So grab your Batman branded CD player and a bucket of live fish and give this episode a listen! 

This week we talk about one really great idea and two terrible ones, we cringe and bleed emotionally while discussing the 2019 documentary You Cannot Kill David Arquette and Steve makes Paul go to PaulCon 2021. 

This week we talk a little about our feelings regarding Wonder Woman 1984, some good news for Star Wars games, Octopi have beef with fish, we again put on our headbands and bow to each other before we square off in our discussion of Cobra Kai Season 3, and we find out what it means to be a student of Steve Kown Do. 

This week we celebrate the holiday season by having the original invader himself, Joe, on to talk about the end of Season 2 of The Mandalorian and Steve finally faces his fear and watches Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice Baja Blast Edition and we talk about whether or not Zach Snyder even likes Superman as a character, and we have a holiday addition of Higher or Lower. We conclude our Year of Animation being joined by special guests Nathaniel and Sammaeal from the At The Devil's Ball Podcast to talk about a groundbreaking hybrid of live action and animation with 1988's Who Framed Roger Rabbit. We dig deep into the themes that become more apparent the older that we get, how herculean the task must have been to bring this very complex project to life and oh, and those kids were definitely smoking while hanging off the back of a trolley car.  Check out the episode, p-p-p-please?

This week we talk about Thanksgiving holiday doings, say goodbye to another Star Wars actor, Alex Ross is cross as Warner Brothers, we are looking for wacky cookie ingredients, we have a two pronged conversation about the most recent episode of The Mandalorian: one about fandom patting itself on the back with one hand and shoving out new fans with the other, and two: the burden of weighing down a series with the rest of the its greater universe, and Steve helps Paul put together our Invasion of the Podcast Holiday Special!™

We hope you all had a safe and turkey filled Thanksgiving. Normally each year we do a bit on the show talking about all of the exciting Black Friday deals that you need to rush out and get ASAP, however, with the plague going on and 2020 being 2020, it didn't seem like a fun idea to encourage people to go out shopping. We have put together our previous 4 years worth of Black Friday deals and related games in one episode for you to enjoy why you stay safe at home. 

This week we continue our journey through the Year of Animation by looking at our first Claymation feature: 2000's Chicken Run. When a group of hens realize their days are numbered, they look for any way to escape their farm. Along comes Rocky, a rooster that looks like he has figured out how to fly... Before we get to discussion of the movie (about 55 minutes into the episode) we also talk about our weekend watches, including a brief talk about The New Mutants, and a story about a brawl for some burgers. This week we solve the age old mystery of what happened to the dinosaurs, Wonder Woman is coming home for the holidays, of course we talk more about the Mandalorian, there's a bacon flavored beer out there, and we go ghost hunting with Amazon Prime's Truth Seekers and enjoy walking the line between humor and horror, and we have a quiz about toilets (please send us our podcast Emmy now, thanks). 

This week we talk about our post election fatigue, going to doctors, and not feeling welcome at gas stations. Also some people are upset that a puppet ate some fake eggs, Alex Trebek has passed away and 2020 just keeps getting sadder, century old statue got an unfortunate facelift. We discuss a brief history of movie trailers, what they are supposed to do, what makes a good trailer, and we talk about some of our favorites. Finally, Steve beta tests his new Buzzfeed quiz on Paul. 

This week we talk about our very different Halloweens, we say goodbye to a legend, Clive Barker is back to raising some hell, pumpkins grow scary big, and we end our SpooOooOOOooky month of animation by looking at the recently released Creepshow Animated Special and it's two twisted tales, and how we feel about the 'motion comic' aesthetic, and Steve has to figure out which Are You Afraid of the Dark titles are real or fake?

This week Apple has the Great Pumpkin, Quibi is Quibye, a young girl pulls a sword out of lake and will now rule us all, we continue our SpOOoOooOOOoky month of animation by looking at 2012's ParaNorman with Norman seeing dead people and us seeing a wonderful and funny film, and Steve then tasks Paul with determining which animated Halloween special is real or fake. 

This week we talk about what we did on over our birthday weekend, what cool stuff we got, and how we got to see a large baby in a theater, Dexter is coming back and Steve isn't sure how he feels about it, Tremors gets a small documentary about some very big graboids, not all heroes wear capes when they steal a school bus, and to continue on with our SpOoOOooOooky month of animation we dig into some early editions of the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror and talk about how what was once a weird one off became an institution of the franchise, and Steve picks out 2020's hottest Halloween costumes. 

This week we kick off our SpOOoOOoooky animated Halloween month by checking out 2006's Monster House. We also discuss the loss of Eddie Van Halen, the loss of GLOW, the addition of an Electro, and there is a Monster Mash brawl at the end. So grab some empty bottles of Mountain Dew and have them at the ready for this episode. 

This week we continue our Year of Animation by looking at the semi-autobiographical work about the life of Marjane Satrapi with 2007's Persepolis. This film tells the story of Marjane growing up in Tehran, Iran during the late 70's amid the Iranian Revolution and how she grew into womanhood under an oppressive new regime. This film is full of thought, heart, humor, and sadness and is worthy of watching. We try our best to do it justice with our discussion. Also, we talk about parrots that swear a lot (unrelated to the film but fun). 

This week Snyder's complete film isn't as complete as he let on, we can see John Cena as Peacemaker, Dreamhaven is where a lot of people are going after Blizzard, we crack open some Elsinore beers and talk about the very Canadian adventures of Bob and Doug Mackenzie in 1983's Strange Brew and Steve has to guess which craft pop culture beers are real or fake.
