This week Paul is joined by guest host and friend of show Richard and talk about Ghostbusters fandom hot takes, deer in car trunks, PBR giving the best advice ever, jackasses trying to pants referees, the 2019 indie sci-fi film Vast of Night and what it takes to satisfy a viewer, and Paul challenges Richard to a game of Real or Not involving translated TV show titles. 

This week on the show, Paul is joined by Jeff of the Skewered Universe Podcast to ride shotgun while Steve is away on a secret mission and discuss the potential end of the Friday the 13th rights case, one very sad and angry critic of The Book of Boba Fett, what words and phrases we are done with for 2022, a look at Michael Bay's first film, 1995's Bad Boys, and how it is very much of its time and how that can be a good and bad thing, and Paul challenges Jeff to a quiz about famous duos (except one question about a trio since he failed at his own quiz). 

This week we finish our Year of the Sequel and are joined by special guest El Goro of the Talk Without Rhythm Podcast to discuss 1990's Predator 2. Along the way we debate the concept of 'legacy' sequels, what it takes for a sequel to be considered successful, and we drink and talk about a lot of other stuff too. This week Steve and Paul go off track and talk a lot about food surprising no one, Steve had a good time seeing Patton Oswalt, will a live action Mega Man film be any good, let's all celebrate the christmas snek, we look at Matt Fraction/David Aja/Javier Pulio's Hawkeye Vol. 1: My Life as a Weapon and how the Disney+ show has drawn inspiration from it, and Steve makes Paul play Real or Fake Hallmark holiday movies. 

This week Steve and Paul talk about the weekend they spent together *wink* and going to see a holiday themed movie marathon, they will make NFTs out anything now, we all saw Daredevil coming to the MCU, the world largest pot brownie just makes us want more brownies, we discuss Masters of the Universe: Revelation Part 2 and how people should really stick around till the end before judging things, and Paul helps Steve make his own action figure. 

This week for our 300th episode we got the whole gang back together, Joe, Steve, and Paul, and talk about Santa Claus in Battlefield, 'non-verbal' communication in Halo: Infinite, record breaking belches, a look the 1989 film/product placement that is The Wizard and Steve has a video game movie version of Higher or Lower. 

This week we welcome special guests Terry from Strange Highways, Richard from Pale Boy Summer!, and former co-host Joe as we talk about Steve seeing Ghostbusters: Afterlife (spoiler free), digging into some film noir movies, a whisky truck has an unfortunate accident, a true hero makes a beer cooler drivable, some very large penises are stolen, and to celebrate Thanksgiving and the beginning of the holiday shopping season, we talk about 1986's Chopping Mall and how important mall life was back during that time, and the return of our very special Black Friday Deals that you do not want to miss out on. 

This week for the Year of the Sequel we head out to Sin City to see if we hit big with 1997's Vegas Vacation. Can the fourth movie in the series live up to the heights of previous installments? Also, we briefly talk about our weekends, the new Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, and another crazy story out of New Zealand. 

This week we talk about our time off, what we ended up watching and what wrestlers we met, we say goodbye to Dean Stockwell, we say hello to the world's largest potato and a bat that won a bird contest, we question what fast food flavor we would want in our alcohol, we approach 2021's Dune as outsiders of the franchise and talk about if it succeeds on it's own merits, and Paul rates Steve's Pain Index. 

This week Steve goes to prison and enjoys it, Paul gets caught with mayonnaise in his office, a brief spoiler free discussion about Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, we talk about the danger of Nostalgia, Martin is coming for us all, someone is suing Pop Tarts for being Pop Tarts, and we conclude our SpOOoOOOooOkytober with a look at the 1990's remake of Night of the Living Dead and why it was made and whether or not it succeeds on its own merits, and Steve has to guess which unmade horror sequel are real or fake.  

This week Paul is still at war with apples, Steve may have caught the black plague, there's a new tiny cat nearby, Batman FanDome happened, we wonder aloud what disqualifies a pumpkin from competition, no sprinkles for you United Kingdom, we discuss the sequel to the 2018 reboot, Halloween Kills, and how trauma shapes the town and people of Haddonfield, and Steve tasks Paul with determining which butt hurt reviews were for Halloween Kills or The Last Jedi.

This week we talk about our birthday weekend celebrations and the sweet loot we got for getting older, the merits of audio books, the new Scream (5) trailer and how it looks good so far, ma'am your house is hissing, there's a tiny town for sale, we continue our SpOOooOOOokytober of looking at the sequel/reboot of Friday the 13th: A New Beginning and it attempt to take the franchise in a new and seedier direction, and Steve tries to Letterboxd Paul in with a movie review quiz. 

This week we briefly talk about the Many Saints of Newark and about what people think they want out of a franchise, Paul got to meet Eric Roberts very up close and personal, we learn that Steve shares a birthday with a ninja, its officially fat bear fall, fake spiders get real police calls, we kick off our SpoOooooOOoookytober with a look at Nia DaCosta's sequel/reboot of Candyman (very spoiler heavy, conversation starts about an hour in) and how this series has a lot to say 30 years on, and we create a breakfast cereal for The Saturday Night Slasher.  

This week we talk about the complicated issue of creator versus copyright as Marvel is suing to keep the rights to Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and more, we believe that their may be some supernatural goings on with overly large pumpkins, and we get into the Star Wars anthology series Visions and talk about its potential versatility and flexibility for the genre, and Steve asks Paul some Really Stupid Questions.™

This week we talk about a sequel that is actually a prequel in 1984's Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. We dig into this darker outing and try to figure out why many people consider this one the 'bad one' of the original trilogy. Also, we talk a lot about apples and what we did this weekend. 

This week Steve and Paul catch up on what they watched over the break, talk about the passing of Norm Macdonald, Sun Man is part of the Masters of the Universe, what toys were nominated for 2021 Toy Hall of Fame, and dig into James Wan's new film Malignant (starts at 1:00 and ends at 2:28 for those that want to avoid spoilers) and Paul has Steve create a series of 'What If...?' stories. 

This week we talk about Reminisce and how hard sci-fi can leave you cold, a lot of money was spent for some turtles, someone got pissed off at a Dairy Queen, baggage claim just got a lot more tasty, we end the season by talking about 1986's One Crazy Summer, and Steve challenges Paul to quiz about minor roles. 

This week we talk about Woodstock 1999, crawling around a backyard looking for apples, are we owed satisfying endings to a series, Spider-Man has No Way Home, we talk about Val Kilmer's 2021 Amazon Prime documentary about his life so far and what it means to be an artist, and we celebrate National Dog Day with Steve picking the best dogs. 

We continue the Year of the Sequel by looking at the last Star Trek film involving the entire original series cast, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. With the backdrop of the ongoing war between the Klingon Empire and Federation possibly coming to a close, can Kirk move past his old hurts and longtime hatred in order to complete his mission and help bring peace to the galaxy? Bonus: there is some discussion about Free Comic Book Day and standing in line for 5 hours. 

This week we wonder why the living dead are animated, if it is important to see certain films on the big screen first, which fast food would you give up your religious beliefs for, and we talk about 2021's The Suicide Squad (spoiler heavy, beware) and how good it is to see James Gunn back it, and Steve makes Paul pick the Best Summer Ever.™
