Consecrated unto the Lord: Rest and Labor - Audio
02/09/2012 Duración: 01h05minThere has been a mark of the Sabbath keeping, the Lord’s Day Sabbath, in this country, extending back into the Common Law of England back down through the days of Alfred the Great (King of the West Saxons) that goes back to late 800’s. Alfred himself copied the Sabbath Law from earlier writs. The Lord’s Day Sabbath is a testimony that God will in fact bring rest, this gives us hope and hope indeed anchors the soul.

"Envy and and the Test Before Us" - Audio
05/08/2012 Duración: 01h05minEnvy causes us to take the means and the tricks necessary, what we deem to be necessary, to plunder our neighbor. “Mt 6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” The Christian church needs to learn the lesson of putting Christ as its first treasure. Our hearts should be less confident in our own reasoning and more confident in God’s mercy as come before His throne.

Holiness Unto the Lord - Audio
29/07/2012 Duración: 01h12minOur approach unto God is not to be by what we think or feel we should do. How God wants us to approach Him is given in His Word.

"The Gift No One Wants" - Audio
22/07/2012 Duración: 01h05minPain is a blessing and it is our alarm system, without it we do not respond. Unless the Lord pains our hearts we will never get the changes in the soul necessary to respond to His Word.

"Pray without ceasing... Quench NOT the Spirit" - Audio
03/06/2012 Duración: 01h11minThe faith that will get you to heaven is the same kind of faith that will in fact will break Satan’s kingdom. The Spirit of God is sent in you because He will invest in your walk that you might destroy the works of the devil, which is to say, you will be planting works of righteousness.

“The Foundations of the Church” - Audio
20/05/2012 Duración: 01h12minWe wonder “What are God’s reasonings in the matter?”. How He answers prayer is often completely different compared to what we think or would like the answer to be. God tells us in many places the His thoughts are not our thoughts and are far above and beyond our comprehension. At a time when our nation is more and more in need of God and His Word, we reject it, drive it out of our schools, call good evil and evil good. If we lose the Word of God in our generation how many generations after us will continue in the dark apart from God’s Word? Is this where our nation is headed today? Will our nation be plunged into spiritual darkness as the Word of God cleans and elevates the nations around us? Will we heed the warning in Psalm 12? “ Ps 12:1 ¶ Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tong

“The presence of God” - Audio
13/05/2012 Duración: 01h14minHere was Abraham about to sacrifice his son, a child of promise that represented all of his life. Instead of being in a frenzy and fretting, he laid out the wood carefully, put out the stones carefully. There was none of that upset of character, that churning of the Spirit when sin or hardship affects us. We all know that feeling…there was none of that in Abraham. There was a quietness and an assurance, a calmness, that lay hold of his heart. Here was the son of Promise, he bound his son carefully, he picked him up and put him on the alter. Then he pulled forth a knife. When his son had asked him, “Where’s the sacrifice?”, Abraham’s reply was “ God will provide a sacrifice, my son”. The presence of God had been so strong in delivering him time after time that Abraham, by faith, knew God would provide.

The Angel: What was he thinking? - Audio
06/05/2012 Duración: 01h10minAngels are present throughout the gospels. Does the Bible Command or even suggest that we worship angels? What was the angel thinking as he sat in the empty tomb waiting to deliver the message that Christ had risen? What does it mean in Job 4:18 “and his angels he charged with folly”?

“The Holiness of the Church of Christ” part 2 - Audio
22/04/2012 Duración: 01h18minSolomon’s Temple was glorious yet a new and far more glorious temple was promised. Is the hand of God moving towards taking away the lamp stand of today’s church? Is His judgment coming? Soon? What do we see in history that warns us about today? We must be careful about righteousness.

"Holiness" - Audio
15/04/2012 Duración: 01h07minThe graces that we have are not of this earth. The character and the virtues we are given are not of this earth, they originate in heaven as does the ability to obey the commandments of the Lord. Even worship falls into the “not of this earth” category.

“Forget the Church. Follow Jesus.” - Audio
08/04/2012 Duración: 01h14minThe Church did not create Jesus. Jesus Christ, the Word of God, became flesh. He walked among us, was crucified died and rose again on the third day and has established His Church. There is more evidence for the resurrection of Jesus than for the existence of Julius Caesar.

“The Holiness of the Lord” - Audio
01/04/2012 Duración: 01h12minThe Romans Hated the Jewish people yet Tiberius nominated Christ as one to be worshiped as a god among the other Roman gods. Listen and learn more.

“Thou art a hard man…” - Audio
18/03/2012 Duración: 01h05minThe Church of Christ is a work in progress. Some of the things Christ did seemed harsh or maybe unjust. He was a hard man as a solution to a hard problem. Christ in Mathew 8:22 said “…Follow me and let the dead bury the dead.” Without stepping back and looking at the whole picture Christ’s words seem harsh. How about Mathew 15:25-26 “Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.”? The question is, when the Lord acts the “hard man” is it His fault or ours? Romans 1:18 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;” What are the answers to the questions, why are we tried and why are we pruned? We are pruned so that we may bring forth more fruit. If the church will not fast and pray for deliverance when it should, then it will when forced to. Will it be as in Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all thine

“’Historicism’: The Church Receives Help and Hope.” - Audio
11/03/2012 Duración: 01h21minWithout history to light our path, we lose our way. Going through life not having history in view, is like walking backwards using a small flashlight and a mirror to see where we are going. Our LORD gives us markers in His written word so that by them we may look through His eyes at history, the future, and how we should live and be today. The easiest markers to see are the ones that are fulfilled. Looking at the events surrounding them helps us to recognize God’s fingerprints in history and in our lives today.

“Covenant… Until I Find Something Better” - Audio
12/02/2012 Duración: 01h12minHow can Covenant be kept? Not well if one keeps to oneself standing alone. A single brick in the temple wall serves little. Many bricks may serve better but until that wall is built with Christ as the cornerstone it is built on a whim and when tested will easily fall. Covenant in Christ with another and you have a bond not easily broken. “Ec 4:12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” We have only to soberly examine the fruits of our love for the brethren, our neighbor and our Lord to see the strength of our covenant. Christ sets the example as he, the Creator, bows down and in all love and humility and washes the feet of His disciples. Come and listen to inspiring examples showing the strength of Covenant through the fruits of performance.

Those who Loved - Audio
13/11/2011 Duración: 01h11minThe church of the catacombs. The Church of Rome was noted for it's evangelistic zeal. Also notable were the heros and martyrs who came forth to fulfill their cslling. Another example of those who loved God's people and gave all for His Church and Kingdom was John Calvin. Paul calls to the notable throughout the area to uproot and move to Rome to start a church. Hear who they were and what they gave as a response to this call.

When the Foundations are Moved: Reformation - Audio
30/10/2011 Duración: 01h11minAn entire generation was consumed in the desert because of a lack of faith in what God would do for them. It is hard to imagine how not long after walking on dry ground through a divided Red Sea, looking back from the other side to see Pharaoh and his army destroyed they no longer believe God nor wanted His Law. Today if the Church of Christ is not put in place we will have nothing. Where is the Church? Why are we not decrying evil? Paul says to Timothy “But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” (1Ti 3:15) We are called to love care for and defend one another. This is called reformation. Today’s church, God’s people, are in the water and the sharks are circling. Every man for himself does not cut it at a time like this. We need to sound the trumpet and raise warning of the wickedness attacking today. In the future our children will inherit what we do or do not do today. If

The Unity of the Old and New testament part 2 - Audio
02/10/2011 Duración: 01h25minTheology is the root of all other disciplines of life. Theology is the queen of sciences. Theology teaches us the covenant of grace flows continuously and seamlessly from the beginning of the Old Testament to the end of the Bible. The Old Testament saints as we today are saved by grace and grace alone. How could there be a sacrificial system in the Old Testament without Christ being in the center of it?

"Things Written Beforehand were Written for Our Learning...."? - Audio
25/09/2011 Duración: 01h08minImagine being so ashamed of your bible you want to tear it in half and throw out the first half, the “Old Testament”. That is bad theology and bad theology makes for bad ethics. In the 1800’s the early church, because of bad theology (dispensational), even tainted the seminaries to the point that the seminaries attacked and criticized the Pentateuch. The abolitionist movement, civil war, men and women’s lives destroyed. Why, all because pastors were unable to reconcile Deuteronomy 24 and Mathew 19. Pastors ran to the New Testament to hide, ashamed of the Old Testament. They were ashamed to teach about things such as imprecatory prayer thereby blunting the edge of the sword of God’s word. The church today comes under scorn because it doesn’t have the answers to the questions the world asks. The Old Testament is foundational to the new, woven together in perfect unison without contradiction. “Mt 5:17 ¶ Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but

"...even as Christ pleased not Himself." - Audio
18/09/2011 Duración: 01h23minRomans 13:8-15:3 Robert E. Lee was a man of character and self denial. He also an example in how he not only cared for his soldiers but even those of his enemy. He was color (race) blind, plain speaking and frank and led others by his example. To study this man is to learn how to apply many golden nuggets of biblical wisdom to your everyday life.
