EVER!, co-hosted by Jerry McMullen, is a weekly show looking at comics, movies, and TV shows with reviews, previews, and interviews. In this issue, the X-Men deal with a large problem, Doctor Doom hosts a family reunion, Spider-Man learns the Electro boogaloo, Iron Man has his hands full with rings, and the Avengers thaw out a living legend. 

The guys from the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! are back in action! We're going to snap our fingers, kick names and talk Avengers: Infinity War, the runaway box office success that is breaking record after record. We are going to SPOIL the heck out of this movie. So if you haven't seen this yet - Brent Kincade, looking at you! - do not listen to this show until you have seen the movie! We break down the character journeys, the motivations for the characters, why Thanos might not be a villain, who might come back and who might be gone for good, and so much more. OK, the Gauntlet has been thrown!  With the release of Avengers: Infinity War in theaters this weekend, the guys at the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! thought it would be appropriate to dive into the back issue boxes and re-read the classic mini-series from 1991, The Infinity Gauntlet. So much of what happens in the new Avengers movie gets its start with this story, so this is the perfect time to revisit one of Jim Starlin's epic tales, with a fine assist on art by the likes of George Perez and Ron Lim.  In addition, we have our weekly Pick 3 for next week, sponsored by our good friends at Clint's Comics. Over the years, comics have seen a lot of change. Characters die, and new characters are created. Heroes become villains, and vice versa. Titles are renumbered, rebooted, and sometimes replaced. But there has been one constant for 80 years. Action Comics, which celebrates the publication of it's 1000th issue this week! This is not your normal monthly release. This is Action Comics #1000! It doesn't get any bigger than this for Superman, DC Comics or comic fandom. With multiple stories from all-star creators, packaged with incredible covers representing all the different eras of the Man of Steel, this issue is a true reason to celebrate.  And we did celebrate! In Kansas City, Jerry joined the super fans at a midnight opening at Clint's Comics. With an entire rack of the main book along with all of the variants, the books were flying off of the shelves left and right. ... And there came a day, a day unlike any other, when Earth's Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! found themselves united together for an anniversary episode. On that day, WCPE invited friends and family to join us in the virtual studio—to talk about comics that featured the number 200! Through the years, their podcast has prospered, getting better from time to time, but their passion for comic books has never been denied! Heed the call, then—for now, it's the WCPE 200th Episode! EVER! takes a look at two recent books from Marvel, featuring two very strong yet very different women.  First up is Jessica Jones #18, as writer Brian Michael Bendis (along with artist Michael Gaydos) says so long to one of his greatest contributions to the Marvel Universe. This is a touching one-and-done story that is worth every penny, as the books is filled with words and art and story and emotions.  We follow that up with Mighty Thor #705, which is the penultimate chapter in what appears to be the final story of Jane Foster. Dying of cancer, Jane knows that one more transformation between Thor and her human self will kill her. But the universe needs saving, and there is only one way out. Cue the John Williams fanfare, because things are about to get SUPER in the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! studios this week. With the debut of the new Krypton series on SyFy this week, it gives the guys a good chance to review some of our favorite Superman stories. Did your favorites make our list? Listen in and find out! Five weeks at number 1, and we don't think that Pacific Rim Uprising is going to slow it down any. Chris announced a few new projects at the Image Expo last month, so Cullen sat down with the Portland writer for a quick one-on-one. Sooooo, seen any good movies lately? We are here to sing the praises of Black Panther! This is the new standard for all comic-book movies - a beautiful, well-acted film which left the audience thinking and talking and going back to see it again and again. By our humble estimation, the only thing that could have made this movie better was finding a way to include Nicholas Cage into this soon-to-be masterpiece.  But before we can talk about the movie, we have some con recaps to share with you. We have finally rested up after the epic 2018 Planet Comicon, and have all kinds of stories to share with you. The panels, our friends, and most importantly our work for the Hero Initiative. What a weekend! The guys from the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! stayed busy all weekend long at Planet Comicon. We hosted some comic panels, raised some funds for the Hero Initiative, had some BBQ, crashed a party or two, found some comics... did we do anything else? OH YEAH, WE HOSTED ANOTHER LIVE PANEL AT PLANET COMICON! All three of us on stage together, making jokes, telling stories, and answering questions.  So sit back and give the show a listen. Happy Comicon Eve, Kansas City! We are a day early this week, so consider yourself the lucky winner! If you've read any comic books over the last 30 years, odds are you have read a Ron Randall issue or two along the way. From Conqueror of the Barren Earth to Justice League International to Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire and most recently Future Quest, Ron's pencils and stories have covered every possible genre there is.  But the one book he is most associated with is his own creation, Trekker, which is the ongoing adventures of bounty hunter Mercy St. Clair. Since the late 1980s, Ron has been telling Mercy's story at Dark Horse Comics.  Ron has a new set of Trekker stories to get out, and he has a Kickstarter launching on February 20 to make that happen. The work is done; the Kickstarter is to cover the publishing costs, so you will see the finished product if you support this initiative. By the time you read this, we will be just two weeks away from the start of the 2018 Planet Comicon. We are so ready for this to get started. Our bags are packed, books to be autographed have been pulled out, and bail money has been set aside. We love comics and we love creators who take their visions and dreams and bring them to life outside of the traditional publishing processes. This week we interviewed Adam Watson to talk about his project, Ghost Assassin, and the ongoing Kickstarter campaign. Ghost Assassin is the tale of a hitman-for-hire who has the ability to see and interact with ghosts. Unfortunately for David the ghosts are the people he's murdered. Adam's journey to bring this book to life has taken some wild turns and his marketing and distribution channel plan is just what the comic industry is needing right now. (hint: What are you reading at the tattoo shop while you get inked?) The art for this project is handled by Joel Cotejar and Charles Carvalho with coloring by Edward Bola and Gulliver Silva.  The cover for issue #1 is penciled by Joel Cotejar with coloring by Ceci De La Cruz. Adam will be at I Like Comicon February 10 - 11 with merch and information about the project and the Kickstarter campaign runs through February 21st.

It's good to be Cullen in February. See, he gets a three week run that month of attending a con each weekend. First up is I Like Comic Con which will be in Vancouver, WA, on February 10 & 11. For it being a first-year show, the guest list reads like a Who's Who of comic royalty. Jim Steranko, Neal Adams, Gail Simone, Ron Randall, Howard Chaykin, James O'Barr and the list keeps going. To get everything set up for the con, Cullen sat down with show owner Chris Simons to get all of the details for the show coming up soon! Of course, we will welcome Cullen back to Kansas City for Planet Comicon February 16-18. Tune back in next week, same Bat Time, same Bat Channel, to get all of the details for Kansas City's biggest convention. And if you pay close attention, you may start seeing some announcements this weekend for Cullen to appear at Comics Fest in Hillsboro, OR, on February 24 & 25.
