So... watched anything good lately? Maybe a comedy? Or a satire? Ooooh, wouldn't it be fun to watch a show with a lot of mysteries behind it, like Lost? Well, look no further, as all of those questions can be resolved with the release of WandaVision on Disney+. The first and second episodes were released last Friday, and all of the guys had the chance to sit down and take in the shows. This is a quirky show, focusing on two of our favorite Avengers from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. To help out our loyal listeners, we have gone ahead and answered some of the most popular questions we have received on our Google machines in the last week. So, where does this fit in the cinema timeline? We don't know yet. What is this S.W.O.R.D. that is subtlety referenced in each episode? We don't know yet. On this week's episode of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!, we are still trying to wrap up 2020 with our movie review of Wonder Woman 1984, which debuted on HBO Max and in theaters on Christmas Day. Helmed again by director Patty Jenkins, and starring Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, the movie takes place in 1980s Washington DC. In this installment, Wonder Woman has her hands full with the dual threat of Cheetah and Maxwell Lord. And all is right in the WW mythos as we finally get the Invisible Jet. Now, if you have seen any commentary on the internet over the last two weeks, you have noticed by now that this movie has provoked a lot of strong reactions, both positive and negative. And you're going to hear some of those arguments on the show today. The bottom line from the discussion is that we all have the right to our opinions. We even invited friend-of-the-show Mike Nickells into the studio to discuss this movement he helped start last January. Who would have thought back then that we would have time this year to reach 500 comics read? And we're sure that some of you are wondering if we reached 500 books? Collectively, we sure did! On this week's episode of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!, we are joined by Don Leibold to discuss the Marvel 616 series on Disney +. This show debuted in November 2019, but in all fairness, we were focusing on season 1 of The Mandalorian then. While we are still focusing on Mandalorian, we have all had a little more free time over the last few months to watch some additional programming.  Marvel 616 takes a look at the impact of the comics and characters in the real world. Episodes focus on how a monthly comic is made, international artists, cosplay, school plays with Marvel characters, toys and so much more. These episodes usually clock in around one hour and can be watched in any order.  Of course, we have to cover the many announcements Disney made last week at their investors' meeting, with all of the new projects due to role out in theaters or on Disney + in the next two years. With all of the craziness in our world right now, a little bit of calmness returned to our lives last Friday with the release of episode 1 of The Mandalorian Season 2 on Disney +. This is the way.  With a return to Tatooine, and appearances by Tusken Raiders, Jawas, and the Boba Fett armor, all is well with Cullen and Jerry as they gush over the first episode. In addition, we each got the chance to read the concluding issue of Batman: Three Jokers from DC Comics. We share our wrap-up thoughts and how this impacts the world of the Dark Knight going forward. It's been a while since we checked in on our #My500ComicGoal challenge. OK, let's get real this week. There is a lot going on in the world right now. I mean, we always have to deal with whatever life gives us, right?
