Mark 2:27-28 (NLT)—1) Sabbath isn’t for God; it’s for us.   Sabbath restores the rhythm of work & rest to our lives that God intended.   2) Sabbath is a gift   Sabbath isn’t a religious burden or a punishment; it’s meant to be a pleasure.   3) When you lead, serve, or work from rest, it enables you to truly put your heart & energy into everything God asks of you.  W/out   Rest isn’t a sin; it’s a responsibility.     4) Rest in God, not from Him.      Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT)   What fills your “tanks”?   If you don’t rest, God will rest you. 

God’s best is better than your best every single time.       Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)   2Corinthians 6:14-15 (NKJV)nterests…   Who you marry is the 2nd most important decision you will ever make.   Proverbs 31:30, “Charm is deceitful & beauty is fading, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”     2Corinthians 6:17-7:1 (NKJV)   If your convictions aren’t firmly Rooted in honoring God & His word, you’ll find yourself continually compromising.    The formula for frustration—fabricated expectations + failed realities = feelings of frustration.   God’s lowest thought about you is higher than your greatest thought about yourself.     Your purpose isn’t for someday; God has a mission for you to do right now.   2 Corinthians 5:18   Acts 20:24

Who is disciplining your children? Who is raising them & investing into them spiritually?  Greatness demands intentionality. Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV), “Train up a child in the way he should go, & when he is old he will not depart from it.”  Deuteronomy 6:4-9 (NLT) The devil doesn’t take a day off & we can’t either.   Great families demand intentionality.    Great parenting demands intentionality.     Great children demands intentionality.

Matthew 7:24-27 According to this scripture, what’s your life & family built on—rock or sand?  It won’t happen by accident.  choose to go beyond the discomfort & start deepening your roots.  Romans 3:10-12, “There is no one who is righteous (apart from Jesus), no, not one.”   Isaiah 64:6, “Our righteousness is like filthy rags.”

Marriage is the foundation of the family unit. What you did to win their heart is key to continuing to win their heart. Do you know your spouse’s Love Language?  “If you’re going to be married, do what it takes to have a blast.”   Success leaves clues. Make Jesus your 1st love.   -Know & embrace your role Ephesians 5:32 (NLT) -Set yourself apart only for them.  -Pray together -Love & honor on purpose.  -Look your best for them. -Flirt with them. -Date them. -Make time for intimate oneness. 1 Corinthians 7:5 (NLT)

Rooted In Trust⁣ ⁣ Jeremiah 29:11⁣ ⁣ God’s will is going to ultimately be done, but we have a part to play in it all. ⁣ ⁣ 1Corinthians 6:20⁣ ⁣ Just because God has a plan for your life, doesn’t mean things are always going to go smoothly. ⁣ ⁣ Just because things aren’t going the way you thought or they’re not happening on your timetable doesn’t mean God’s plan isn’t working. ⁣ ⁣ Your calling isn’t to be “successful”, it’s to be faithful.⁣ ⁣ Philippians 1:6

Step Up & Step Out⁣ ⁣ Ephesians 4:12-15 (NLT)⁣ ⁣ Matthew 24:13, “He who endures to the end will be saved.”⁣ ⁣ John 15:8, “By this, My Father is glorified—that you bear much fruit & prove to be My disciples.” ⁣ ⁣ No root=no fruit. ⁣ ⁣ The people in this community NEED Jesus. ⁣ ⁣ Are you ready & willing to step up & step out by faith into God’s purpose for your life & ministry?

Christmas Eve - Immanuel⁣ ⁣ Matthew 1:23⁣ ⁣ Matthew 28:20, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”⁣ ⁣ 1) His “Withness” brings peace. ⁣ ⁣ 2) His “Withness” creates boldness.⁣ ⁣ Romans 8:31 “If God is for you, who can be against you?”

How you end one thing will determine how you begin the next. ⁣ ⁣ Faith—trust, belief, conviction of the truth, holy fervor, confidence in who God is. ⁣ ⁣ Who or what is the focus of your faith? ⁣ ⁣ Romans 10:17, “Faith comes by hearing & hearing by the word of God.” ⁣ ⁣ Luke 17:5, “Lord, increase our faith.”⁣ ⁣ Matthew 17:20 (NLT)⁣ ⁣ Matthew 6:30—“And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today & gone tomorrow, won’t He more surely care for you? You have so little faith.” ⁣ ⁣ Hebrews 4:2—“The Gospel was preached to us & them, but the word didn’t profit/benefit them because they didn’t mix it w/ faith.”⁣ ⁣ Hebrews 11:6—"W/out faith it is impossible to please God…”⁣ ⁣ 1John 5:4—“…this is the victory that overcomes the world—our faith.”⁣ ⁣ Luke 18:8, “…When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth.”⁣ ⁣ What is the greatest step of faith you have ever taken? ⁣ ⁣ James 2:18,20, 26, “Faith without works is dead.” ⁣ ⁣ What if you don’t?⁣ ⁣ What if you do?

Faith—trust, belief, conviction of the truth, holy fervor, the character of one who can be relied on. ⁣ ⁣ Faith is confidence in who God is⁣ ⁣ Hebrews 11:1—"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for…”⁣ ⁣ Habakkuk 2:4—“But the just (righteous) shall live by his faith.”⁣ ⁣ Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace you have been are saved through faith…” ⁣ ⁣ Mark 11:22, “Have faith in God.” Because Jesus is who He says He is, don’t you think we should pay attention to what He has to say about this? ⁣ ⁣ Mark 5:36, “Jesus overheard their conversation & said, ‘Don’t be afraid; just believe.’”⁣ ⁣ Ephesians 3:12—“…we have boldness & access w/ confidence through faith in Him.”⁣ ⁣ Hebrews 10:22—"Let us draw near w/ a true heart in full assurance of faith…”⁣ ⁣ 2Corinthians 5:7, “For we walk by faith & not by sight.”⁣ ⁣ Galatians 2:16, We are “justified by faith in Jesus, not by works of the Law.”⁣ ⁣ Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified w/ Christ…the life I live, I live by faith in the Son of God…”⁣ ⁣ Galatians 3

Instant Obedience⁣ ⁣ The person who fears God says, “How close can I get to God? & How far away from sin can I get,” not “How much sin can I get away with?”⁣ ⁣ Psalm 55:19—“Because they do not change, therefore, they do not fear God.”⁣ ⁣ Proverbs 1:7—"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.” ⁣ ⁣ Proverbs 27:7—“A satisfied soul loathes the honeycomb, but to a hungry soul, every bitter thing is sweet”. ⁣ ⁣ The fear of the Lord is to obey God, even when you don’t see the benefit of it. ⁣ ⁣ Complaining is saying, “God, I don’t like what You’re doing, & if I were You, I would do it differently.”⁣ ⁣ Hebrews 11:24-26⁣ ⁣ Some religious people think suffering pleases God, but it’s obedience that pleases Him.⁣ ⁣ The cross doesn’t speak of suffering; it speaks obedience.⁣ ⁣ Genesis 22:1-18⁣ ⁣ Exodus 33:1-3 ⁣ ⁣ God’s presence was more important to Moses than His promises. But to Israel, God’s promises were more important than His presence. ⁣ ⁣ Practice instant obedience. Will you obey even if you don’

Out Of Egypt⁣ ⁣ 2Corinthians 6:16-7:1⁣ ⁣ We were created to have a real, intimate relationship w/ the King of the Universe!⁣ ⁣ Moses had to lead the people to the Promiser before he could lead them into the Promised Land. ⁣ ⁣ So many people don’t fear the Lord because they haven’t encountered Him. ⁣ ⁣ Exodus 19:3-6⁣ ⁣ The whole reason God brought them out of Egypt was to bring them to Himself. ⁣ ⁣ Isaiah 29:13—“They draw near to Me w/ their mouths, but their heart is far from Me.”⁣ ⁣ Exodus 20:18-21⁣ ⁣ Mark 4:22— “There’s nothing hidden that will not be brought into the light.”⁣ ⁣ The person who fears God says, “How far away from sin can I get?”⁣ ⁣ They wanted both God & Egypt—what they thought was the best of both worlds.⁣ ⁣ Hebrews 11:24-26⁣ ⁣ 1John 2:15-16⁣ ⁣ Will you choose to know the Promiser so you can experience your purpose—your Promised Land?

The Lost Key⁣ ⁣ Some people have gotten used to living stuck spiritually⁣ ⁣ Psalm 89:6-7⁣ ⁣ You will never find God’s lasting presence in a place that doesn’t greatly fear Him ⁣ ⁣ Familiarity is one of the most dangerous things to a believer. You begin to count as a common thing what God calls holy. ⁣ ⁣ The greater the glory, the greater & swifter the judgment. ⁣ ⁣ Balancing the love & the fear of God will keep you from falling into ditches.⁣ ⁣ 2Corinthians 7:1—"Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh & spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

Fearless⁣ ⁣ Matthew 21:46, “They wanted to arrest Him, but they were afraid to try because the crowds considered Jesus to be a prophet.” ⁣ ⁣ Luke 19:47-48, They “were looking for a way to destroy Him, but they could not find a way to do it, because all the people were captivated by what they heard.”⁣ ⁣ Isaiah 41:10, "Fear not, for I am with you…”⁣ ⁣ 2Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given you a spirit of fear…”⁣ ⁣ Psalm 23:4, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil…”⁣ ⁣ Psalm 27:1, "The Lord is my light & my salvation, whom shall I fear?”⁣ ⁣ Deuteronomy 31:8, "He will never leave you or forsake you. counterfeit—an imitation of something valuable or important with the intention to deceive or defraud. ⁣ ⁣ Should Christians celebrate Halloween? ⁣ ⁣ Let your stance & convictions be based on honoring & prioritizing the Lord in every way possible. ⁣ ⁣ 1John 4: 18, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love cast out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” ⁣ ⁣ Why would you invite in, pay for, participate in, or pursue what Jesus came to cast out?⁣ ⁣ Counterfeit fear doesn’t draw us closer to Jesus.
