People are leaving the christian church in large numbers, particularly those in the 20 and 30 year old age groups.  They are driven out by hateful congregations and church leaders who do not care to address issues that concern them.  Those leaving are leaving to search for God.

The focus tonight's podcast is an angry, jealous God, and a forgiving, trusting Jesus.  

Remembering Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Evelyn talks about the unfinished work to be done in the push for equal rights in this country.

We will take a deeper look at the econmics and jobs report to reveal what the numbers actually say.  Looking at the tax brackets as well as the results of the Trump Tax Cuts; define the impact of a weak currency; and talk about the job numbers with unemployent at a 50 year low, and more...

The new year comes with promises, proclamations and resolutions,   These are statements of things one plans to accomplish during the 'new year'.  We are going to discuss the importance of writing things down and how that helps in fulfilling the promise or keeping the resolutions. 

Under Mosaic Law Foreigners were among a long list of people who were not allowed to enter the assembly of the Lord.  Apparently God had a change of mind and decided to invite ALL Nations to Join them and attach themselves to his people of Israel.  This process of Inclusion was Perfected in Christ.  Main text is Isaiah 56th Chapter.

Sometimes bad things happen in our lives and we struggle with why they happen and with the role God plays, if any, in them.  Our instinct is to cast blame outside of self, even onto God.  What are we to do in times like these?  Dare we question God about it? Do we look to familly and friends for answers? Do we get mad at God and turn our backs on him?

Evelyn Bowden points out the need for black business ownership for economic freedom and the survival of the black community. She talks about how coming out of slavery black forefathers and mothers knew the importance of landownership, education and being politically active to gaining and maintaining economic freedom and independence.

Evelyn talks about things done by the Obama administration that had a direct impact on the black community.  She also put forth the premise that one must not ask others to do that which one can do for self. 

Evelyn wil talk about how under a cloud of controversy Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th president of the United States of America.  She will talk about election 2016 and how voter apathy and misinformation played a part in the process, and the roll citizens must play if they are to minimize the negative impact of the new administration.   

Evelyn will talk about what people feel are the most important problems facing this country in 2017.  She will review this week in the news on such issues as education, jobs and economics, politics and YES, religion too.  The phone lines will be open.

Evelyn talks with Cody Winn about his writing of a poem that was nominated by his teacher for an award and inclusion in a book of poems by The America Library of Poetry.  She also continues to look at automation and job loss.
