This week, I had the chance to interview Nick Johnson, a frequent MBASchooled Contributor and recent MBA graduate from NYU Stern. Since many incoming MBA students are getting ready to gear up for their first year of business school, Nick and I chatted about transitioning to business school what life is like as a first-year MBA student. 

The MBA recruiting process can be a challenging and difficult process for students, employers, and MBA programs. This week, I had the chance to interview Jack Mara, a recent MBA Graduate from the University of Virginia (Darden) Coming into business school, Jack knew he wanted to try something entrepreneurial. He also was motivated to find a way to help his classmates. In this week’s podcast, I had the chance to interview John Huang, a 2nd year MBA Candidate at the University of Michigan (Ross.) John previously worked in consulting and is making a transition into a Strategy and Finance Rotational program at Wal-Mart after business school. This week, I had the chance to interview Bhavik Trivedi, the Managing Partner of Critical Square, a top MBA Admissions Consulting service. Bhavik, a former strategy consultant, decided to start Critical Square alongside a few fellow strategy consultants to provide prospective MBA applicants with consulting services from individuals who could walk the walk and talk the talk through the MBA Admissions process. As sports fans, many of us often dream of a job working in sports or for our favorite athletic team. While the closest we can get is Fantasy Football, MBA students like Char Zoller, a 2nd year MBA student, are pursuing that dream and working to turn it into a reality. I had the chance to interview Char over her Spring Break. Previously, Char worked in headquarters at the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Now, she’s finishing off her MBA at the University of Oregon and has amassed incredible opportunities and experiences that will set her up for an exciting career in the sport industry. On this week’s MBASchooled Podcast, I had the privilege of speaking to a friend and classmate of mine, Whitnie Low. Whitnie is a 1st year MBA Student at the University of North Carolina (Kenan-Flagler) and she did her undergrad at Boston College (we were classmates!) After graduating from BC, Whitnie was a science teacher for Teach for America, before transitioning into Recruiting and Executive Search. Now, as a first year MBA student, she is pursuing Concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Sustainability at UNC.   Whitnie’s background as a recruiter makes her a “Go-To” person for career guidance and advice.
