In this episode Weeze and Trudi are discussing a word that had been used a lot in the equity and diversity field: emotional labor. We'll discuss what it is, why its a lot of work, and why folks don't want to do it for free. Also, we'll discuss how to protect yourself from doing unwanted emotional labor and how to be restored.

In this episode, Weeze and Trudi discuss what it means when someone says Check Your Privilege. We explore the different types of privilege people hold, what it means to check that privilege, and how it triggers some people when they hear it. We further address some manifestations of white privilege and give some examples of how to use privilege to create equity for marginalized communities (which is really the whole point of our work).

In this episode Weeze and Trudi switch seats and Trudi shares about her experiences about growing up in small cities in Connecticut, never feeling like enough, becoming a teen mom at 15, and creating her own path.

In the spirit of sharing different stories, and being vulnerability this week, we are hearing how Weeze became Work AF (also the title of her site at https://accordingtoweezus.com/). Hear how Weeze went from a little homie in Oakland with strong North African roots to the advocate, coach, and badass that she is today.

In this episode, we discuss Trudi's experience at World Domination Summit 2018 and lessons that can be learned by listening to the experiences of People of Color who go to these types of events (conferences, masterminds, retreats, etc). We'll share a few things that organizers can do to make their spaces more diverse, and more comfortable for PoC attendees.
