Some argue that the POTUS's view on abortion doesn't matter because the President has little influence over it. This is not true. In this episode, Mark is joined by Jonathan Van Maren of the Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform to discuss the future of the pro-life movement, and there are positive indicators.   While the world may appear increasingly complex, it's worth noting that younger generations of Christians are showing a marked increase in their pro-life convictions. This is evidenced by the higher percentage of anti-abortion advocates among younger evangelicals, in contrast to their older counterparts. The Ohio Secretary of State has officially validated all of the signatures that were required to get an extreme pro-abortion initiative on the ballot in November of 2023.   This dangerous, California-style proposal is misleadingly titled, “The Right to Reproductive Freedom with Protections for Health and Safety.” In reality, it would erase the current health and safety standards for mothers and their children, if passed. Here is what this extreme initiative would do:   Permanently enshrine painful, late-term abortions all the way up until birth in The Ohio Constitution. Allow minors to obtain abortions without their parent’s consent or knowledge. In this episode, Mark interviews author Stephen Wolfe, author of The Case for Christian Nationalism.   I just finished his book. It's deep. It's challenging. And I recommend it to anyone interested in Christian political theory. Unfortunately, some Christians who say they don't support what is outlined in the book have never read it. Instead, they often fall for stereotypes about nationalism that the secular media promotes and buy in to the straw man arguments about Christian nationalism from its many detractors.   That said, I believe every Christian who is concerned about the direction of nation/culture should read it.    Here a few of the questions I ask Stephen:   What is Christian Nationalism? Is the church called to change the culture? Is the pursuit of cultural Christianity I replacement for preaching the gospel? One year ago, Americans witnessed history when the US Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Since then, however, the pro-abortion movement has had success in amending several state constitutions and defeating pro-life ballot measures in other states. On this week’s rerun episode, Mark speaks with Missy Martinez-Stone, CEO of Reprotection, an organization that explores the often overlooked side of the abortion issue - the supply side. Reprotection investigates abortion facilities that break state and federal laws, with the ultimate goal of shutting them down based on their own misdeeds. By partnering with Sidewalk Advocates for Life and Heartbeat International, Reprotection collects critical information to hold these facilities accountable within their own field. In today’s show, Mark is on the ground with multiple guests outside of the Ohio State House during the vote on SJR-2. In short, this resolution would require a 60% vote instead of a simple majority to approve any constitutional amendment.   If you are a current listener of the show, you will know that we have been speaking out and actively trying to stop the Ohio Constitutional Amendment that is coming down the pipeline in November, allowing abortions up to birth, as well as gender reassignment surgeries for children.
