I today’s podcast I want to try to answer three questions related to the Holy Spirit: When is one filled with the Holy Spirit and what are the outward signs of being filled with the Spirit? And what does it mean to be anointed?

The Holy Spirit is perhaps the least understood and least acknowledged member of the Trinity. However, His presence and work permeate the Old and New Testament, and He is the person of the Trinity who is most involved in our daily lives. Today’s podcast will serve to answer a question that I hope will help us know and understand the Holy Spirit better.

The battle for purity is real and at times it can feel impossible to win it. We live in a world that is obsessed with sex, and the so-called purity culture has left us wanting. In today’s podcast I’ll answer the question if it possible and realistic to be pure in today’s oversexed world by giving you three biblical principles to arm yourself with in your battle for purity.

Child trafficking (the exploitation of vulnerable individuals for commercial gain) is a horrific reality that we as followers of Christ must expose and oppose. Today’s episode is a hopeful one in this regard. Rob Morris, CEO of LOVE146, has the bold and audacious vision to end child trafficking and exploitation by offering survival care and working towards the prevention of this crime. “God is with the suffering and the challenge for us is to join in there.”

How do we truly grow in faith? What are the things that will nourish our faith and we need to hold on to and sustain? You can hardly open your social media these days without seeing a Christian has posted claims they cannot possibly know to be true. Conspiracy theories are not something new, but our technological age has allowed misinformation to grow and spread faster, and create much confusion, suspicion and tension. There are a few passages in the Bible that are just difficult to interpret and know how to apply rightly. 1 Corinthians 11 is such a chapter. Over the years it has raised lots of questions and controversies about the role of men and women, their conduct, and order in the church. In light of some verses that are hard to understand, someone has asked me: Dear Lina, if the Bible teaches that the man is the head of the woman and that woman was created for man, what purpose does my life as a single woman have?

The topic of hell is uncomfortable to most of us because it’s a difficult one. Certainly, to think that someone would end up in a place of eternal, unending judgement, is not something to be taken lightly. But it’s a subject we must grapple with because it is something that the Bible teaches. Take a listen as answer today’s question by looking at what Scripture says and resist the urge to deny or soften things that the Bible affirms.
