This week, the UP2 crew takes a look at an episode with an awfully familiar lineup of guest actors with “Invasive Procedures.” When the majority of DS9’s population is evacuated due to plasma storms, the senior staff is taken hostage by a gang of mercenaries. But it’s not money, power or hostages that these criminals are interested in. It’s the Dax symbiont itself, placing Jadzia’s life in mortal danger. Will the crew be able to save their friend and chief science officer? Will the UP2 crew manage to make it through this episode in one piece? This week on UP2, we wrap up the Season 2 opening Circle trilogy with the action-packed climax episode, “The Siege.” When the Bajoran Militia issues an edict declaring that all Federation officers and civilians must leave Deep Space 9 at once, Commander Sisko must lead a rogue group of officers to stay behind and retake the station. Meanwhile, Kira and Dax must embark on their own adventure in order to expose the inner workings of the Circle and bring the uprising to an end. Is this a satisfying ending? Did it fulfill the hopes of the UP2 crew? And what did they think of the trilogy as a whole? Tune in to find out, and as always, be sure to leave us your feedback!

We’re kicking of Deep Space Nine Season 2 this week on Upper Pylon 2, and what better way to inaugurate a new season than with a three-parter? Today, we take a look at the first of 3 chapter-episodes: The Homecoming! When Kira gets information that indicates that a legendary Bajoran resistance fighter is still alive and being held captive, she must convince Sisko that he may be the best chance at unifying a quickly fracturing Bajor. But is this a case of the myth being greater than the man? And by rescuing this heroic figure, will Kira and crew kick off a chain of events that was more than they bargained for? Well, considering this is part 1 of 3, you can probably guess that answer. But tune in to hear our take and kick off Season 2 in style!
