With Christmas upon us shortly and Mick being busy with other projects, we decided to split the next edition into two parts, which will be the only ones to play out the year. Firstly a feast of melodic uptempo music, progressive, jazzy and energetic, Kraftwerk influenced tracks too, with Berlin School rounding off a storming set, sequencing heaven for some of you. While you catch your breath we delve into the second session part 2. Ambient music, light & dark, spacey and experimental, creating futuristic dramatic soundscapes, truly engaging. From all team we would just like to say thanks to all the musicians who have graced our airways throughout the year and listeners tuning in, have a happy Christmas and we look forward to bringing you more great music in the New Year. Well it’s getting nearer that time for the Christmas festivities, although with Mick being based in Australia and it’s their summer here to, it doesn’t feel quite the same as back in the UK especially when temps here can reach 40c, and I don’t think he’s going to stick to the traditional Christmas day meal of prawns here in Oz. On to the music, besides our usual suspects who have grace our airways in the past we welcome Pauline Strom a blind keyboardist from the USA, Mark Griffiths whose early works were on Electronical Dreams a well known cassette label in the UK in the 80’s & 90s, Galactic Underground a new project by Johan Geens better known as Venja, Siddartha Barnhoorn’s spacial immersion into deeper ambient music, Spanish composer Adrian Sandoval a more progressive synthesist and Macro noise’s accessible tunes. Our blast from the past is Rolf Trosel’s Test tanz, from the 1981 album Inselmusik, recorded entirely on the ppg Wave computer 360, enjoy the show. Sequences Podcast no119 02.07 Galactic Under

Over three quarters of the way now into this New year and we’ve certainly had some outstanding music from established & new musicians featured on Sequences, with an increase in listeners especially on Soundcloud, with some of the newer editions attracting over 2500 plays. As with previous podcasts we cover a wide range of electronic music from Berlin School to Chillout, ambient to synth rock. Marcel Vinaros, Epilogue, Chris Coco, Samora & Wolfgang Nachahmer are here for the first time on Sequences. Mick was shocked to hear the passing of his very good friend Klaus Hoffman Hock from Germany. He will be sadly missed by all fans and musicians who have had the pleasure of working and talking to such a lovely human being, his charm, professionalism & wit will never be forgotten, bon voyage my good friend, another journey awaits you. As a tribute we’ve included in this podcast one of our favourite tracks, the beautiful & serene ‘La Vie’ from Colours Of Time by Mind over Matter, the group he formed in 1986. Not s

After having virtually no rain since May in Queensland, it finally came in the beginning of October, temps dropped to a more comfortable level, especially welcoming when compiling this podcast in front of those warm computers & devices. I’ve had an upgrade to my vocabulary, although Mick saids he doesn’t hear any difference, what do you think? In this edition we have some of our favourite artists showcasing their latest works, including Ivan Black, Sequential Dreams, Keith Richie, Nord, Bouvetoya & Thy Veils, latest project from Michael Bruckner & Hans Dieter Schmidt, going under the name of ‘Bridge To Imla’, with more new names added to roster of artists appearing on our podcasts. We picked the pulsating & energetic track ‘Mercalli’s Scale’ from the1992 album ‘More Live By Popular Demand’, by Ron Boots, Eric Heijden & Friends for our blast from the past. Be prepared to be blown away by the latest Sequential Dreams release Metamorphic Waves, this release is highly recommended for lovers of space roc

A very warm welcome to our latest edition No114, very mixed musically as usual. Includes the latest albums by Keith Richie, Steve Jolliffe, Mark Seelig & Sam Rosenthal, Red Planet Orchestra, Odnu, DeVega, Tedd Arnold, Aesthesys, Halonen & Syvers, & Samantha Booquin. Although we basically promote electronic music we’ve decided to feature the delicate keys of solo piano composer Fiona Joy. I was recently talking to a friend who happened to get on the subject of woman pioneers in electronic music and came up with a couple of names I’ve not heard before, Elaine Radigue & Else Marie Pade. Having delved into their catalogue of music I thought it would be interesting to let you hear a couple of tracks from them, Else especially has a fascinating past history, Our blast from the past track ‘Cabala’, celebrates the 30th anniversary of Wavestar’s successful third album, Moonwind, formed by John Dyson & David Ward Hunt, who sadly passed away in 1999. Were back, welcome everyone. It’s been over a month since our last edition but we’ve kept on top of the new releases coming in after Mick’s move to a new abode, and delighted to welcome six new acts to grace our airways. As before we set out to bring you a broad section of music, maybe not to everyone’s taste but at least we try to educate your musical preferences. Our blast from past from 30 years ago comes from the duo Megabyte, because of contractual projects at that time their real names were not revealed, but we do love their synonyms, Amanda Mega & Billy Byte. Welcome to our opening edition for April, slightly different this time. With so many of tracks in the ambient, cosmic, experimental side, we’ve decided to split this podcast into two sections, the first the more melodic, rhythmical sounds of EM, including live tracks from, Kebu, Stephan Whitlan, Moonbooter and Otarion, the second section flowing with dark ambient space music & experimental sounds, slowly fading out to the softer new age style. You make the choice between the two or both if you are more adventurous, It’s good to see two more female musicians here, Pilestra from the band Thy Veils with a solo single and Shirley Cason, relaxing peaceful music, As with previous editions, we feature a track from one of our lost friends who died to soon in 2015, Patrick Kosmos.
