There’s gathering storm season here in OZ. While the boss is dictating our opening text to me, there’s a spectacular light show going on outside, and no kidding, the rain is nearly horizontal. Once again we take our trip to look at new releases from man & machines, not forgetting us ladies too, as the broad spectrum of sounds fill our airways. We are excited to have some quality music supplied by the owner of Heart Dance Records & R. S. Promotions, Sherry Finzer, who is an award winning new age flautist featured here with Tom Moore on the relaxation/meditational album let ‘There Be Light’. Space cadets will like the ambient side of this edition, drone soundscapes from Velge Naturlig, deep space exploration of Jaja & Jeff Pearce’s cosmic & wintry excursions just created on the guitar. Eleon, Jakub Fijak, James Asher & Richard Shulman showcase their music for the first time on Sequences, melody, sequencing and cinematic symphonic music you will love. It’s good to see a few more of my female musicians again showing their different sides to electronic music. We give you two more tracks from Malibu, whose music we liked so much featured on the compilation PAN-V-A, with her emotive vocal led soundscapes. The rich musical meditations of lush, sensual textures & heart openings of Madhavi Devi’s and award winning pianist & composer Heidi Breyer, with the soaring passages of violinist Charlie Bisharat. There so much diversity in this issue, something for everyone and some that surprise you. Jarguna experimental, ethno, ambient sounds, heavy rock edge to the new project by Keith Richie, Binarywaste, a different side to Karmarius, with his collection of cinematic tracks, the serene space music of Alpha Wave Movement and one of Mick’s favourites Daniel Dorobantu of the band Thy Veils, expressive, otherworldly solo outing, in the open expansive acoustics of a monastery, with one time band member Peter Ionutescu, and many more to glide you through this edition. G’day everyone, it’s coming into fire season again here in Queensland and they’d started early, 300 reported throughout the state this week, many started by moronic arsonists, but not as badly as we’ve seen in other parts of the world so far. It’s another one of those editions, with quite a mix of diverse musical sounds in the realms of the electronic universe, the mysterious to the melodic from our creative musicians. Must mention this cool kid Ansgar Stock, at the tender age of nine composing & playing live in our European side of electronic music. We do need a younger generation to keep our scene going for the future. Our tribute to Udo Hansen who sadly passed away recently is a live track from the Krefeld Festival 2017, joined by Albin Meskes, again as the group You, originally a trio who were prominent in the late 70’s to early 80s. Our blast from the past comes from the Belgium group known as Age, with a track from the early 80’s vinyl release Landscapes, re-release on Groove recently with extra bonus

Hi everyone, it’s that time again to immerse yourself into a host of great electronic music presented by Sequences coming from a very wet, hot & steamy Queensland. Although we love the melodic & accessible side to electronic music, be it Berlin School, Chill-out, New Age and so on, the experimentation of ambient atmospheric music takes us into the fascinating collage of sounds beyond the boundaries of easy listening and throes up so many aspects of what man and machines can do, haunting & captivating, but don't worry, we are still bringing a good choice of diverse sounds, accessible & listenable, which are mostly from new album releases. Taking care of the ambient & the experimental side include, Numina, David Gerard, Juta Takahashi, Spacetime Continuum, K Ambient Sounds, Claudio Casanueva & Shall Remain Nameless, this leaves us with Ryo Utasato, Stephan Whitlan, Dask, Karmarius, Ron Boots & Others & Daniel Pierzecki, covering symphonic, sequential, melodic & even a touch of prog rock sounds.
