On the Cross, Jesus said, “It is finished!” (Jn. 19:30). God’s plan for the redemption of lost sinners was accomplished with Christ’s death on the Cross. Not only that, but this was His plan all along. God foreordained the Son to die for our sins, even before the world began. The cost of our redemption was of the highest cost. The price, far beyond anything in this world. The price of our redemption was the very blood of the Son of God. The perfect sacrifice of Christ. And we must keep that knowledge in the forefront of our minds and live in light of that Truth. How are you going to respond to the fact that you are redeemed?

Because we are Christians, we have the privilege of calling God our Father (Rom. 8:15), but in no way should that diminish our fear of Him. And fearing God is more than just respect or reverence. We must also remember who He is. When we look at creation, we see God’s general revelation to the world. And in examining creation, we are also given a message: that there is a Creator. If you are a Christian, there is joy. Because biblical joy comes from God, and He never changes. Happiness, on the other hand, is never constant and always changing.
