In this homily for The Feast of the Most Holy Trinity, Fr. Riccardo encourages the congregation to ask for the grace to grow in trust of the Father.

In this homily from the 8 AM Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel, Fr. Riccardo asks the congregation, "Why are you here?" Father John reminds the congregation that Jesus is the answer to every real and significant question that they ask.

While discussing John's gospel account of the rehabilitation of Peter, Fr. Riccardo reflects on the life of St. Peter. Fr. John reminds the congregation that the gospels were not written and proclaimed so that anyone will believe in the leaders of the church: rather, they were written and proclaimed so that we will believe in Jesus.

On April 15th, Fr. Riccardo addressed the parents of OLGC school children regarding the curriculum for human growth and development education in the school.  Principal Kay Reilly and Assistant Principal John Czaplicki also participated in the forum, along with Mary DelPup, Director of Religious Formation.  Fr. John spoke about the school's plan to help students and parents learn about the beauty, the wonder, and the challenges of sexuality.

In this homily from the Easter Vigil Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Fr. Riccardo reminds the RCIA candidates and the congregation that Jesus thirsts for each of us.  Fr. John asks the congregation to take their eyes off the headlines of the day, and to focus them on the cross and the empty tomb, for Christ has truly risen.

In this homily for Palm Sunday, Fr. Riccardo encourages the congregation to spend time this week reflecting on one of the gospel accounts of the Passion of Jesus.

While reflecting on the gospel reading from St. John, Fr. Riccardo reminds the congregation that we were all cut off from God by sin and rescued by Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. In preparation for Holy Week, Fr. John encourages the congregation to spend time meeting Jesus in His word. 

The 2010 parish mission concluded with the celebration of Mass on Wednesday evening.  In his homily, Fr. Riccardo cites concrete examples of Catholics bearing witness to their faith and becoming light to others.

While reflecting on St. Luke's gospel account of the transfiguration of Jesus, Fr. Riccardo draws an analogy between our relationship with Jesus and that of an Olympic athlete and their coach or trainer.  Fr. John encourages the congregation to allow Christ to transform their lives and to become true Christians.

During Lent, the Stations of the Cross are prayed each Friday at 7:30 PM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Fr. Riccardo presided over this devotion commemorating Jesus' Passion on February 26, 2010.

While reflecting on today's first reading from the Book of Deuteronomy, Fr. Riccardo reminds the congregation that lent is a time to remember and be thankful for all Jesus has done for each of us.
