NFL 1:00 PM EST Rotation #477-478 Lions +3 over Falcons There is no doubt the Falcons are the front runner to get back to the Super Bowl, but they do have their struggles on the road and are going up against a Detroit team that is built for this fast turf just as much as Atlanta is. The key to this game is the Atlanta Offensive Line which has 2 key starters out today. The Lions have a quality defense and should put pressure on Ryan the same way the Falcons did against Aaron Rodgers last week. Detroit is going to be a scary team if this run game continues to get better. The wrong team is favored here. Take the Lions.

Balfe Report : E151 : Our comp winner hit with Clemson on Saturday and again cashed in with the Steelers on Sunday. We turned another profit this week as we look to cash in again next weekend, but first we have one more game tonight in the NFL. Listen to the Monday Balfe Report for more details.

NFL 1:00 PM EST Rotation #273-274 Steelers -6 over Vikings I love this scenario. Minnesota looked great on MNF against an awful defense so people think they are legit. This might be the case, but remember the Vikings have a completely brand new offensive line heading out on the road against a stadium that is loud and tough to play in. The Steelers are great at spreading the field with their receivers which can help against a great Minnesota Defense. I love everything about the Steelers Offense this year and I just don’t see Minnesota matching them with their offense score for score today. Take the Steelers.

NCAAF 8:00 PM EST Rotation #147-148 Clemson -3 over Louisville Heisman winner Lamar Jackson is a home dog. That in itself is enough for everyone to back Louisville, but when you look closer we have to look at the supporting cast. The Cardinals run game is going to struggle without Jeremy Smith and this offensive line is still young. Clemson is breaking in a new QB, but Kelly Bryant can throw the ball and his offensive line will give him protection. Clemson has three targets who have caught over 70 passes in their career who can get themselves open. Clemson has an outstanding defense while Louisville is average at best. The battle of the trenches clearly is with the Tigers tonight. Take Clemson.

NFL 4:05 PM EST Rotation #471-472 Colts/Rams over 41.5 The Colts have turned over a brand new defense. It is not often that a team dumps just about every single player on their defense. The Colts today only have 3 of their top 11 tacklers from last year. I don’t care how weak the Rams might be on offense we have to remember this is the NFL. You can’t just plug in guys on defense and expect to pitch shutouts. Jared Goff has improved tremendously from last year to now and I expect big things out of this offense. The Colts are in a tough spot without Andrew Luck, but they did upgrade the running game and Scott Tolzen has been with the #1 offense all preseason and dating back to last year. It’s a lot different when a QB goes down on Sunday and a backup has no time to get ready. This is a game in which I think we will know by halftime if we are winners or not. Take the Over.

NCAAF 12:00 PM EST Rotation #315-316 Northwestern/Duke Over 54 The last couple of games these two teams have played have been pretty low scoring, but now the defenses lack the past talent and both teams have very little depth. Duke has a lot of true freshman on this defense and on the defensive line don’t have the edge rushers to put pressure on the QB. Northwestern is already down three defensive corners to start this season and they have the same problem with nobody able to get to the QB on defense. When we flip over to offense Duke has so much talent at the receiving position. The Blue Devils will just spread the field and find and open man. Daniel Jones is a good QB and he can also take off and run for first downs. Duke should score all day. Northwestern has two great running backs that should run all over this Duke Defense. The Wildcats also have talented receivers. This team should score on Duke all day. We are going to see a lot of points. Take the Over.

It’s the big debut tonight for Coastal Carolina as they take the step to the big level in College Football. This was UMass 5 years ago. Here is the bottom line. Coastal Carolina has never seen the athletes at this level. The size difference is going to shock them this year and they must adjust fast. I think the team from last year would be better suited as they had the best RB in school history on the roster and their offensive line was not a mess like it is now. This is a team that used 6 QB’s last year and their coach took a leave of absences this year. This team doesn’t have a talented group of receivers and in my opinion isn’t ready to take the next step at this high level. If they happen to win today than more power to them. UMass has a monster of an offensive line and should open up many running lanes today. Ford is an experienced QB for the Minutemen and if they can’t win this game they won’t win one all year. UMass has too much experience to lose this one and want revenge from their last se
