Jesus is accused of casting out demons by the power of Beelzebul--the prince of demons. How does Jesus answer this accusation? He tells a parable about plundering the strong man. He alone is the King who rescues sinners by the finger of God. He tells another story about a demon that leaves a man and then comes back with 7 more because the "house" has been swept and put in order. What does this mean? In the fourth request in the Lord's Prayer, we find our need to ask God to forgive our sins. Is sin a big deal to God? Does God actually forgive our sins? If Jesus has fully paid for our sins on the cross, then why do we need to continually ask for forgiveness? Should we forgive others who have wronged us? We see a great contrast between the two sisters Mary and Martha. Martha was anxious, distracted, sulky, and resentful. Mary sat at the feet of Jesus in submission to His Word. She chose the better portion. Are you a Mary or a Martha? www.seancole.net

The parable of the Good Samaritan is the most well-known of all the parables. It describes the essence of the Christian life. There are two truths (1) We are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone as the only way to inherit eternal life. (2) Once we have been saved, we do good works in loving our neighbors as way to glorify God. Listen to this parable as if it's the very first time you've heard it. Jesus gives us three reasons to rejoice. (1) Be joyful in Christ's victory over Satan, (2) Be joyful that your eternal salvation is secure in heaven, and (3) Be joyful that God chose you for salvation before the foundation of the world. In this hard-hitting sermon, Pastor Sean preaches the difficult words of Jesus where He pronounces woes on the Jewish town of Capernaum for rejecting HIm as their Messiah. It will be greater for the Gentile pagan cities of Sodom, Tyre, and Sidon on the Day of Judgment. Greater exposure to Jesus means greater judgment in hell if you reject Him.
