The point is that as Christians, we can choose run and hide in apathy, or we can live our our Christian faith in ACTION. And in the process, we risk becoming SELF-RIGHTEOUS in our Christian faith. Solomon makes clear that to do so is to “perish in our righteousness”. Remember, we can run, but we cannot hide. What makes a great nation? Today I am going to show you in order to be a great nation, that nation must be a salty nation. In order for a nation to be great, that nation must be a salty nation which means that it must be filled with salty citizens that make the nation in whole be-salty. What I mean by salty is directly related to being fully committed to a relationship with Jesus Christ and the entire biblical Scriptures. When a people, culture and nation is actively “salty” in biblical terms, they are blessed, provided for and protected.
