This week, our Trinity series focuses on the Son: Jesus Christ. The message tackles the essential truth of the hypostatic union: Jesus must be 100% God and 100% man simultaneously. If He is any less, His sacrifice would not be effective. Because He is fully God, His death offers the "God-sized solution" required for our sin. Because He is fully human, He is a sympathetic Saviour "acquainted with our suffering." This dual nature is the only basis for secure salvation.

Our focus here is on the baptism of Jesus and how this unique moment teaches us about the very nature of God, as all three members of the Trinity are revealed. This Sunday included a number of baptisms. Chris explains the meaning of baptism and why we celebrate such occasions to this day.

Knowing Him as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit brings our lives into alignment with the reality we were created for, while false ideas can cause harm. In the opening message of our new series, Si Munsie shows that exploring the mystery of the Trinity may be challenging, but it’s a pursuit worth every step as we come to know and worship the one God who reveals Himself as one being, in three persons.

Self-control is listed as the last fruit of the Spirit. Drawing on examples from Paul, Joseph, David, and Jesus, this message shows that self-control both protects us from sin and empowers us to choose what is right. In this episode on the Fruit of the Spirit, we explore God’s unshakable patience toward His people, the endurance of Jesus on the cross, and how the Spirit grows that same steadfast love in us as we trust His plans and bear with one another.

God alone is steadfast in His love and faithfulness. To be faithful is a high calling and cannot be done alone. We need the Holy Spirit to be present and at work in our lives to see this precious fruit grow.

There are moments in church life that should rightly make us just pause and reflect. In this message Simon speaks into the hard reality of death and loss, asking ‘what are we choosing to build our lives on?’. The foundation we choose will greatly affect our response when the unimaginable happens.
