I’ve been a serial direct response entrepreneur and copywriter for 20 years now.   (I know. You’ve heard me tell my story a million times... and you’re sick of it. Actually, it wasn’t that long ago everybody was predicting that the Internet was going to kick TV’s ass. I love jazz. And Miles Davis is one of my favoritejazz innovators. He was one of the leading figures in the bebop movement. Then he became a leading figure in the fusion movement in the 60’s. (All the jazz traditionalist snobs hated him for this.) Miles had an interesting belief about jazz. A belief that was technically wrong. But Miles could make what was wrong, soooooright. I didn’t expect THIS. One of the most successful infomercial marketers in the world, Brad Richdale, agreed to talk marketing on my podcast. I was super stoked. But Brad had different ideas. I don’t know why. I think his intuition just told him marketing wasn’t what the K9 crew needed most. I just wanted more traffic. Don’t we all? So I hit up an expert for advice. That’s all I wanted. Something like, “do this... don’t so this.” “Use this media, this way. Avoid this media.” Or some stupid simple formula that would let me turn on the traffic like a fire hose. But ya can’t always get what you want, can ya?
