A lifelong fan of Pulp entertainment, action films, and Afrofuturism, he holds creators such as Samuel Delany, Steven Barnes, and Octavia Butler as major influences. His career includes work as a storyboard artist for gaming, animation and comics. He has worked for firms such as Marvel Comics, Tri-Star Pictures, and Ubisoft Entertainment in his long career. Beyond his creative work, he has taught in the classroom at New York University and the New York Film Academy. Fielder is creator of Matty’s Rocket an afrofuturist tales that blends elements of pulp adventure serials and classic science fiction tales with a vision of African-American experience.
