SFP-NOW Christmas Special 2020
22/12/2020 Duración: 57minTis the season and we here at SciFiPulse Radio and SFP-NOW wish you a merry one. In this special episode, which we recorded in early December. Ian, Ben, and Raissa discuss episodes of Star Trek: Discovery, The Mandalorian, and more. Ian was very excited about the inclusion of Bo-Katan in Mandalorian and was thrilled with Katee Sackhoff's interpretation of a role that she has only done as animated. We also discussed Ahsoka Tano and speculate a little about how she may be used in future Star Wars projects. Additionally. Given the time of year. We also discuss a few of our favorite Christmas Movies and TV shows. So ho ho ho and all of that. Apologies for Ben's sound in this episode. We were having a few problems with his microphone and have done our best to clean it up. But unfortunately, we just were not able to fix all of it. We also discuss some interesting ideas and theories with regards to Crisis on Infinite Earths. SFP-NOW Marvel Movies Special Featuring Megapodtastic's Joe Fiore
30/03/2019 Duración: 01h22minWelcome to another episode of SFP-Now.For this episode I am joined by Joe Fiore of Megapodtastic to discuss the best and worst Marvel Universe. This podcast is very special because it is the first time Joe and I have had chance to connect and chat movies in 7 years. We even joke a little about it being kind of like the Vulcan Pon Far at the start of the episode. In this hour plus long pod. Joe and I count down the Marvel movies in chronological order or try to. And run through what we think are the best and worst of the movies. But we must add that as fans we generally enjoy all of the Marvel movies on some level. So although we may say one movie is the worst. It is more likely because its the one that we like the least when compared to all the others. Anyway feel free to tune in and listen to our list. No movie or television show is safe from our scrutiny and to make things interesting this year we took the gloves off and relaxed the rules about it having to be just Genre TV shows and Movies that we critiqued. Of course The Marvel and DC television and movie franchises get in there as do other shows like Doctor Who. So tune in if you want to find out what we felt were the best and worst of the year. SFP-NOW Talks DC's Elseworlds & Doctor Who Finale
23/12/2018 Duración: 56minWelcome to the penultimate episode of SFP-NOW for 2018. In this episode Raissa and Ian give their thoughts on the recent CW Elesworlds crossover event and make a few predictions about how it could impact on Arrow and the eventual Crisis and Infinite Earths Cossover, which we'll see in late 2019. Both Ian and Raissa were impressed with Ruby Rose's interpretation of Bat Woman, but felt that not enough was seen of her given that she was only in the second episode, but look forward to seeing her get developed in the future. We also take some time to look back at Jody Whitaker's first season as Doctor Who and discuss the strong and weak points of the season. We both pretty much come to the conclusion that this first season for Jody Whitaker's Doctor hasn't been a strong one. So why not set your time machines on pause. Enjoy a few mince pies and yell at us from the sidelines as we get all cranky and opinionated about our favourite science fiction and superhero shows. So why not See acast.com/privacy for privacy an

SFP-NOW examines the PC of Supergirl
24/11/2018 Duración: 01h40sWelcome to another episode of SFP-NOWFor this episode Raissa and Ian discuss recent episodes of Doctor Who, Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl. One topic that gets discussed is how we feel that the political stance in Supergirl could be ruining the series given that it is so obvious in regards to where the story will wind up. As far as the other DC shows go. We both come to the conclusion that 'Arrow' is knocking it out of the park this year and we speculate as to whether or not we'll eventually see the other Al Ghul sister. When it comes to Doctor Who. We discuss the recent historical episodes and how they are written a little differently to how they were on the classic series. So tune in and feel free to comment on anything we say.
