In this latest edition of Back To The Podcast we bring you our review of the latest edition in the Terminator franchise. Terminator Dark Fate. Both being huge fans of the original two films, it's safe to neither of us were impressed with this latest offering and we both do our best to come to terms with the fact that this is not only the end of what was once a great franchise but now the franchise has tipped the balance to having far more bad films in it than good ones. This film felt a bit like a mess and trying to achieve too many things. Not only were they trying to pay tribute to the originals but they obviously wanted to take the universe into a new direction and future. We discuss why we thing they failed.

A new telling of the classic HG Wells story, The Invisible Man has recently graced our screens. We were excited about this one and it didn't disappoint in many areas but we were left wondering if this needed to be The Invisible Man at all or could it of been a new modern story without any prior knowledge from audiences. It's that time of year again folks, (all be it, a little late in the year) where we host our very own Awards show for the films of 2019. As always we have teamed up with Paul from Blokebusters podcast from across the pond in the USA. And over the next 90 minutes we take you through 10 categories of what we felt, best film, worst film, best male actor, best up and coming actor and more for the films released in 2019.

In another film that got a lot of attention at the Oscars we take a look at the cinematically epic war film, 1917. A ridiculously impressive cinema experience that we look at in detail including the way it is shot resembling one long take, the ups and downs of the scenes and the emotional weight. A bit of a different one for us but we enjoyed this film and hope you enjoy listening.

We take a stroll back to last year again and take a look at Alita: Battle Angel which on paper should have been a huge triumph but we just felt it sank without a trace. We have returned with an electronic podcast during the Covid 19 lockdown to bring you a short podcast and review of the recent straight to Netflix released, Extraction. Chris Hemsworth plays the modern day Commando in this all action adventure through the streets of Bangladesh. The film received mix reviews but we were fans as we are fans of the genre. Is it possible that the genre is part of a dying generation where people expect more from films than just action? Enjoy!!

We take a look at the brand spanking new series upon Amazon Prime, Picard. Welcoming back Patrick Stewart as Jean Luc Picard after the last Star Trek film nearly 20 years ago. Star Trek The Next Generation was a massive hit back in the 80's and 90's and we were interested to see the route the makers of this new show would take to tell us what the retired Captain of the Enterprise was getting up to in his later years. As it's well documented, this is the epic conclusion of the Skywalker saga that has graced our Star Wars screens for 9 films and over 40 years. We discuss the ending and we also discuss the possible future now it's under Disney's brand building corporation. We took to the cinema last week to watch Quentin Tarentinos ninth feature film, Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood. Starring Hollywood royalty Leonardo DeCaprio and Brad Pitt amongst a phenomenal supporting cast, this really is a celebration of the golden era of Hollywood that stumbles across a few historic moments along the way. Well folks, its been a while but we are back after a bit of a break. Sometimes real life gets in the way to bring you this podcast. WE've been off having babies, working and travelling the world but one thing we have both down a lot of is see movies. So instead of bringing one review podcast we decided to just record our chat after not seeing each other for quite a few weeks, there was a lot to chat about from the world of movies and TV. We are back with our first film released and reviewed in 2019. Today we take a look at Captain Marvel, the seemingly invincible superhero played by Brie Larson and who looks to be the newest important member of the Avengers franchise. A stand alone origin story that has had both good and bad press and still made a ton of money. With Avengers Endgame around the corner this is probably relevant but we try to tackle the good and bad bits of this film. And we couldn't ignore the fact that we had received a brand new Star Wars trailer a few days before we recorded so couldn't resist the urge to have a quick chat about the upcoming episode 9, hitting cinemas this December.
