Nepal women’s kabaddi captain Manmati Bista says winning bronze at the 2026 Asian Beach Games was a proud moment for the team. Despite coming from a landlocked country with limited exposure to beach sports, Nepal impressed in the women’s beach kabaddi event held in China. A new tax cut is part of this year's federal budget — but it won't arrive right away. Treasurer Jim Chalmers has centred his fifth budget around "a hard road of reform", which includes reducing several tax discounts for property investors and trust beneficiaries. Treasurer Jim Chalmers has delivered his 2026 budget, which he says takes what he's called the 'hard road of reform'. At the heart of the budget are housing tax changes, and a $35 billion saving from reform to the runaway National Disability Insurance Scheme.
