In this episode I talk about the importance of using passion projects in your classroom and school. Whether it is Genius Hour, 20% Time, or Innovation Day, connecting to a student's passion can make a huge impact. In this episode I not only talk about the importance of using these, I also talk about two obstacles I faced when I implemented them.

Today I discuss how teachers need to use every opportunity to make each day exciting for students. As educators we need to build the excitement for students and make them want to learn. As Beth Houf and Shelley Burgess say, "Make kids want to knock the doors down to get in, and not out, of school."

In this episode, I talk about how using social media (YouTube, Twitter, etc.) can boost academic performance and relationships in your classroom. I provide personal experiences and stories from others to share the impact that posting student work online can have.
