In 2005, Dan Futterman wrote the screenplay that was directed by Bennett Miller and Philip Seymour Hoffman breathed life into Truman Capote 1924-1984. The film observes the time that Truman, Capote and Nelle Harper Lee played by Catherine Keener; are researching the Klutter killings in Kansas. Truman Capote forms a relationship with the killers but waits until they’re dead to finish as well as publish his novel In Cold Blood which was the first of its kind; a true crime novel.
