We got permission from Pee Wee’s media manager Mark Larkham to tell this story so we twisted Larko’s arm and made it a two parter! And there is plenty in it, including why Greg is like a father figure to Larko and how he taught him to take the emotion out of the big decisions. Rusty was a massive fan of the British Touring Car Championship in the 90’s (he’s still got the VHS tapes) so when he arrived at Bathurst recently and saw Gabriele there, he had to chat with him. A star in karts, he had no real intention of going car racing! Some practice laps in an open wheeler changed that and Gabriele went all the way to Formula 1. Sadly the F1 cars he raced weren’t great for showcasing his talent but in a Touring Car he was something else.
