  • The Pursuit–A New Show On All About Your Benjamins The Podcast

    20/01/2021 Duración: 13min

A quick intro to the newest show on The All About Your Benjamins Podcast--The Pursuit. Join me every Friday as we explore the intersection of passion, purpose, reducing regret, and personal finance. The Pursuit has been something I've been wanting to do for a while, but I wasn't quite sure how to do it. And if I'm being honest, I was a little nervous to tackle it--this is a little outside my comfort zone, but that's where the real growth occurs, right? On The Pursuit, I'll be discussing, sometimes by myself and sometimes with a guest, how we can achieve greater happiness and live more fulfilled lives by identifying and pursuing our passions, finding our purpose, and how it all plays into our financial planning. In this intro episode, I reference my recent blog post, Impact, which you can read here, along with the latest Human Advisor Podcast episode with Ron Carson and Jason Wenk, which you can watch here. And while I'm sharing other content that plays into The Pursuit, check out this month's All About You

  • Tyrone Ross: Finding Purpose With OnRamp

    18/01/2021 Duración: 47min

https://youtu.be/xLRFiEK7YFg This is an episode that has been in the making since Tyrone first joined me on the podcast back in 2018 --we just didn't know it. Over the years Tyrone has joined me on podcasts and in videos to continue the conversation on bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and even the lack of representation in the financial services profession. It's been fun to watch Tyrone grow, expand his impact on the world, and ultimately take on the role of CEO at OnRamp. And I know he's just getting started. In this episode, we discuss how the opportunity to lead OnRamp aligns with his purpose, how it keeps him on his path of "destiny steps", and what exactly OnRamp will do. As a financial advisor who has been following bitcoin and digital assets since early 2017, I'm excited about the opportunity to incorporate bitcoin for clients with the right risk tolerance and goals. I'm also excited to be able to announce I am an investor in OnRamp, which is the company I referenced in my "How I Invest" blog post. This i

  • Picking Stocks With Roman And Leo

    02/01/2021 Duración: 23min

I hope Roman and Leo pick up good money habits and investing principles just observing me doing my job. But, rather than assume I'm constantly talking to them about the basics of finance and I finally was able to get them to my office to record a video about investing. I funded an account with Public and asked the boys to each pick three stocks to invest in. I told them they would need to explain why they picked their stocks and we would have a conversation about their picks and whatever else might come up. Before you get to the conversation, please remember the stocks we discuss are not meant to be recommendations. The boys are 10 and 8 and in no way stock experts. Even if they were older, you probably shouldn't make investment decisions based on YouTube videos. However, if you are a parent, you should have conversations about money and finance with your children. The beauty of this exercise is you can set up an account with Public with very little money and are able to invest in companies using fractiona

  • Max Rofagha: Finimize And Its Global Finance Community

    23/12/2020 Duración: 51min

Another company leveraging community to help grow and spread financial education is Finimize and in this episode, I’m joined by their CEO Max Rofagha. The story of how Max found his way to the world of finance is fascinating given that he had no background, other than an interest in his own personal finance and the willingness to ask a lot of questions and leverage his network of peers in finance. Finimize currently boasts over 1,000,000 members across the globe and is known for its local meetups, arranged by its members. If you’re interested in continuing to learn more about personal finance, investing, and more you should definitely check out the community! Speaking of Community, The AGC™, a community for financial advisors I co-founded with Taylor Schulte, a little over a year ago is opening back up for enrollment in January. If you’re a financial advisor looking for a group of forward-thinking, collaborative, and supportive advisors to learn and grow alongside, the AGC™ might just be the place for you. If

  • Leif Abraham: Public.com And Bringing Community To Investing

    04/11/2020 Duración: 53min

Public.com popped up on my radar a few months ago and once I opened an account, I realized this was a company I wanted to learn more about. In this episode, I’m joined by Leif Abraham, co-CEO of Public.com and he not only shares the story behind Public but also shares some great information about entrepreneurship and starting a business.… Continue Reading→ The post Leif Abraham: Public.com And Bringing Community To Investing appeared first on All About Your Benjamins™.

Apple Podcasts: Click Here To Listen On Google Podcasts I wouldn’t call this a Crypto and Digital Assets 101 class, but as I’ve begun receiving more questions about cryptocurrency I thought it would be great to bring Tyrone Ross baby (he’s a former AAYB podcast guest on the subject) to discuss the topic—covering some of the basics, along with some… Continue Reading→ The post Digital and Crypto Assets With Tyrone Ross (IG Live Episode) appeared first on All About Your Benjamins™.

  • Tim Maloney: Thematic Investing

    31/03/2020 Duración: 38min

Technology has brought the average investor greater access to new and different types of investments.  Investors can now invest at lower costs, better tailor their portfolios to their goals and preferences, and even invest in specific sectors and themes. Thematic investing is beginning to gain traction by allowing investors to move from sectors to themes like cybersecurity, cannabis, and e-sports.… Continue Reading→ The post Tim Maloney: Thematic Investing appeared first on All About Your Benjamins™.

At the end of 2019, Congress passed and the President signed the SECURE Act which brought potential changes to your financial planning.  I’m fortunate to have been connected with Jamie Hopkins who is a retirement income expert, his Twitter account says so, and an expert in the SECURE Act. He breaks down the Act and highlights some of the changes… Continue Reading→ The post Jamie Hopkins: SECURE Act 101 appeared first on All About Your Benjamins™.

  • Jason Howell, CFP®: Family Governance

    28/10/2019 Duración: 50min

“Family Governance–turning new wealth into old money” is front and center on Jason Howell’s website, and the concept of family governance is not one I was familiar with from a financial planning standpoint. From the quote, you can determine that the act of turning new wealth into old money is accomplished by involving the entire family. But what exactly does… Continue Reading→ The post Jason Howell, CFP®: Family Governance appeared first on All About Your Benjamins™.

  • Genti Cici, CFP®, CAIA, MBA: StandUp For Financial Literacy

    22/10/2019 Duración: 01h04min

The lack of financial literacy in America is a well documented issue, and while many financial advisors discuss the statistics, few have built their firms to really make an impact. I briefly learned about Genti Cici’s mission at the Inside ETF’s Canada conference this summer as he and I spent about 30 minutes talking between sessions. I found out that… Continue Reading→ The post Genti Cici, CFP®, CAIA, MBA: StandUp For Financial Literacy appeared first on All About Your Benjamins™.

  • Rundown: Invest In Your Health

    27/09/2019 Duración: 04min

Eventually, I’d like to find a way to incorporate wellness and health into my financial planning process–I haven’t figured out how to do it quite yet, so the most I can do is talk about it and encourage my clients to find ways to take care of themselves. A couple of weeks ago, I practiced what I always preached and… Continue Reading→ The post Rundown: Invest In Your Health appeared first on All About Your Benjamins™.

  • Project One Question: Wealth/Stack 2019

    27/09/2019 Duración: 16min

Wealth/Stack has been well covered–I did my own summary here, so there’s no need for me to revisit how great the conference was. While I was in Scottsdale, I managed to record another Project One Question episode for All About Your Benjamins The Podcast. If I’m being honest, I failed at this episode…not because what you are about to listen to… Continue Reading→ The post Project One Question: Wealth/Stack 2019 appeared first on All About Your Benjamins™.
