Sunday Message Series

Did you know that it is the Lord’s will to wrap your life in goodness? Did you know that living in a grace-filled relationship with God can renew your youthfulness? God is better than we know! He has more to give and more to reveal of himself. He has ways of satisfying our desires with truly good things.

God goes into the hard places. He doesn't remain aloof and critical. He doesn't simply observe us, yell down to us and scold us. He enters into the pit with us and lifts us. He redeems us. He is worthy of praise and the declaration of his faithfulness on our lips is powerful. It’s a game-changer.

If we believe that God is fundamentally angry with us, we will live angry toward him. When we have a false mental image of God we shut from our hearts the worship of God and our lips of praise are silenced. But, when we believe that God is good toward us, there is unleashed within us an uncontainable praise!

Did you know that your life, when it is a praising life, is a powerful life? Did you know that God desires for you to be motivated to daily give praise to him? Did you know that reasoned praise can transform your thinking, liberate your emotions, redirect your will and establish your faith?

Do you know the power of a praising life? Are you impressed with God? Are you stirred up inside when you think of him and all he has done for you? Is he the fire in your soul? Let God create praise on your lips; a praise that arises from deep gratitude in your hearts. A praising life is a powerful life.

It's hard to go forward if you're looking backward. Discover how to put the past in perspective and how to experience renewed courage for the future. Deepen your trust in Christ.

During this season, we are being invited by God into a deep, refreshing of our weary lives. We can contribute to making our world better by doing compassionate deeds, but there is more! The Savior who heals us sends us to bring him into the places of deep need. "Love All."

From the great Gift of God to us in Jesus Messiah comes a justice and a peace that turns back every conflict and establishes an undefeatable peace. When consumption rules, conflicts are inevitable. What we need is Jesus. He is the One who transforms us. When we know him, he leads us into giving more meaningfully.

The ‘hole in our soul’ will drain our resources, beg for more and more, whine and cry for indulgence and satisfaction, “feed me, feed me.” But all this is misspent and misdirected. To truly be free to spend less (a good idea) is accomplished only if we are satisfying our hearts in the One who loves to satisfy us with himself and his design for us.

We may be either overwhelmed with the stress of this season or overwhelmed by the incredible love of God shown to us in Jesus Christ. We may be preoccupied with ‘presents’ or we may experience the Presence. One leaves us with debt and lingering emptiness; the other impacts us with eternal life. Enter the Advent Conspiracy. At some point we have to actually risk stepping into the future that God has for us. As frightening as this may seem at first, it is only because it requires faith. Faith is reliance on God, on his power, on his love. This is true not only in learning how to live fully as his treasured creation, but also in training to be his hands and his feet. SENT! We are sent and on Sunday morning we will hear some of our experiences in stepping into the missional joy of sharing Christ's love with others.

We are pleased to welcome Margo Day, our guest speaker this morning. Margo lives a SENT life. She is a Vice President at Microsoft and a leading advocate for World Vision’s Child Protection and Education program. Her witness to the love of Jesus extends from her business career to her service to the needs of young women worldwide. We look forward to her challenge to serve Jesus in the marketplace and in the world.

You will be challenged to give, pray and join God on a life changing mission. You do not want to miss the opportunity to hear and respond to God’s call to go make a difference.

You are chosen. You are chosen to go. You are sent. Jesus is sending you into your world. You are his new creation. You are his ministers of reconciliation. You are called to deliver miracles and blessing. You are called to live, no longer for yourself, but for him who died for you and was raised again to life. Discover how to live the adventure!

If we are going to care about others enough to be ministers of reconciliation, we are going to have to take some risks. Risk is often a huge part of faith. Risk is at the heart of adventure with God. How much are you willing to risk in letting God use your life?

Get a grip on your purpose in life as a follower of Jesus Christ. The life God has given you in Jesus is extravagantly new and can be powerfully refreshing for everyone you meet. Live life, live God's love!

We are called and sent. We are called to belong to Jesus and to follow him. When we follow him, he sends us. Where does he send us? Into the places and relationships that are already established in our lives. Into new places and new relationships. Into our neighborhoods, jobs and schools. Discover the thrill of being on mission with Jesus in your world.

We welcome Wellington and Helen Obotte, missionaries to Malawi from Kenya and the Mission Coordinator for the Nazarene Churches in Malawi. Wellington comes to us with a passionate desire to see others experience the love and power of Jesus Christ. A joyful man with an encouraging message - he comes to us as an example of being SENT.

Jesus said, "As the Father sent me, I'm sending you." If we are sent, why do we gather? Why do we need each other in worship, in prayer and in fellowship? Discover purpose, discover the mission.
