    18/04/2019 Duración: 34min

1:47 – Game 2 did not go the way the Magic or its fans would have hoped. Orlando lost 111-82 in convincing fashion. Kawhi Leonard went off. Toronto’s defense was as impressive about as much as the Magic’s defense was not nearly as intense like in Game 1. Coach Steve Clifford could not have been thrilled with the lack of Orlando ball movement. It didn’t help that the Magic were horrendous at the free throw line. 17:30 – Penny uses his immense intelligence to dive into the Magic’s situation from a coaching point of view and future counters that can be made. 24:00 – Switching focus entirely to Game 3 and Game 4, which is setting up a phenomenal sports weekend for the City Beautiful. First Magic home playoff game since Game 4 against the Pacers in 2012. It’s a 1-1 series, the Magic don’t have to win another game in Toronto if they take care of that parquet floor Amway Center advantage. Orlando won 9 consecutive home games to conclude the regular season, the last defeat coming February 22nd. 28:26 – Pops goes

His game-winner is likely a top-5 shot in Orlando Magic playoff history. 32:07 – Switching focus to Game 2 and what adjustments Raptors Head Coach Nick Nurse may go with. 36:42 – ‘Magical Moments’ focuses in on Game 2 of the 2008 first round playoff series where the Magic took down Toronto 104-103 at the Amway Arena to go up 2-0. • 2019 Southeast Division Champs! Magic-Raptors Playoff Preview - Episode 25 – April 11, 2019

    11/04/2019 Duración: 54min

It’s a playoff preview podcast episode because your Orlando Magic finished the 2018-2019 regular season with a 42-40 record, and are the 7th seed entering the NBA playoffs for the first time since 2012. Their first round opponents? The 2nd seed Raptors. Orlando is 4-1 all-time in the playoffs against Toronto from that 2008 first round series. Enjoy the old school song intro. 1:23 – The Magic slaughtered the Atlanta Hawks on ‘Fan Appreciation Night’. The 149 points are the 3rd-most points ever scored in Orlando’s franchise history. 4:10 – Orlando punched their playoff ticket and claimed the Southeast division crown with their win in Boston. 9:37 – Without Nikola Vucevic and Jonathan Isaac, Orlando won in Charlotte as the Hornets were still alive in the postseason hunt entering that Wednesday evening before Terrence Ross went off with ESPN eyes watching. 14:50 – Steve Clifford won Coach of the Month in the Eastern Conference for March and April. Orlando was 13-6 during that stretch, which doesn’t look

  • Destiny in Orlando’s grasp; 'Heart N Hustle' Trivia; Clifford for COTY - Episode 24 – April 4, 2019

    05/04/2019 Duración: 59min

The 39-40 Orlando Magic find themselves with ownership of the 8th spot again, but also tied for 7th with the Brooklyn Nets, and just half a game back of the 6th seed Detroit Pistons, with the Miami Heat back in 9th trailing Orlando by half a game. 3 games remain for the Magic as the win in Indiana against the Pacers, the loss in Toronto to the surging Raptors, and the win over the horrible New York Knicks get discussed. The Magic arguably need to go 2-1 to punch their postseason ticket as the schedules and playoff hunt get broken down. Michael Carter-Williams was signed for the rest of the season after his second 10-day contract concluded. In order for MCW to be on the playoff roster – should Orlando make it – the Magic waived Isaiah Briscoe rather than Jerian Grant. At least ESPN thought Briscoe earned Defensive Player of the Year votes. Penny gets served up trivia again, having to name all 19 players on the 1999-2000 ‘Heart N Hustle’ squad who participated in at least one regular season contest. Steve

  • Orlando Had 8th…Briefly; 'Magical Moments': Game 1 2008 v. Toronto - Episode 23 - March 29, 2019

    29/03/2019 Duración: 01h01min

After immense back-to-back victories against the Philadelphia 76ers and the Miami Heat – spoiling the Chris Bosh jersey retirement ceremony – the now 37-39 Orlando Magic had the 8th seed in the East. A loss in Detroit on Thursday night though provided a gut punch that ended Orlando’s 6-game win streak. The Magic are back in 9th. 6 games remain this regular season, and every night sees the 6-10 seeds all shuffling. Is Michael Carter-Williams the greatest Orlando Magic 10-day contract signing ever? ‘Magical Moments’ returns. Penny and Pops were both at Amway Arena for Game 1 against the Toronto Raptors in the 1st round of the playoffs. Orlando at this point had not won a playoff game in 5 years, and had not won a playoffs series in 12 years. Dwight Howard had a historically amazing game. Also, somehow a photo from that game ended up staying in the arena years later, eventually being auctioned off as Lot #52 before the building was imploded. 25/03/2019 Duración: 01h12min

There was a blowout and a stressful overtime encounter, but the now 35-38 Orlando Magic went 2-0 for the week and are in sniffing range of the Miami Heat for that 8th spot in the Eastern Conference playoff chase. Orlando has 9 games remaining in the regular season. All of which sets the stage for what will be one of the most crucial Heat-Magic rivalry matchups on Tuesday, in Miami, in their three-decade existence. We break down those wins against the New Orleans Pelicans and the overtime thriller over the Memphis Grizzlies. Elfrid Payton’s triple-double streak got stifled. Looking at the week ahead and who the Magic face, Brooklyn and Detroit are also in range to be caught. ‘Magical Moments’ returns. Pops talks about his first ever Magic game attended in person, Game 3 of Orlando’s series against the Heat in the 1997 first round of the playoffs. Down 2-0, riddled with injuries, and trailing by 20 points in the second quarter, Anfernee ‘Penny’ Hardaway would hoist the Magic on his shoulders and put on

  • MCW Signs; John Amaechi 'Magical Moments'; Orlando Breweries - Episode 21 - March 18, 2019

    19/03/2019 Duración: 01h01min

After a 2-2 unsteady week, the 33-38 Orlando Magic have a slim margin for error now in their chase for the 8th seed in the East. Michael Carter-Williams may be the hero the Magic’s bench needs as he immediately takes over the backup point guard spot from Jerian Grant. ‘Magical Moments’ returns. Penny talks about his encounter with John Amaechi at a pop-a-shot fan event in the summer of 2000. The best breweries in Orlando get discussed as that scene is becoming continuously better with an abundance of beer drinking options. Warning: Adult Language Song: WIN - Jay Rock

First story, a review of a Magic victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on April 15, 2006. Along with that being Dwight Howard’s 28-point and 26-rebound party, we focus more on Sixers General Manager Billy King. How we obtained King’s ’06 season All-NBA 1st Team, ROY, and MVP voting selections (not bad, Billy), and why his in-arena guests that game were…unique. A rankings game occurs on who will become the 9th inductee to the Orlando Magic’s team Hall of Fame. Penny has a list of 5 candidates, Pops has a list of 5 candidates. Some nominees are obvious, others are certainly not. The Magic are now 31-36 after losing in Philly and defeating the Dallas Mavericks. We discuss those contests, and how Orlando chases down the 8th spot in the East again. Warning: Adult Language Song: WIN - Jay Rock
