Things that were good about this episode: Steven Yeun’s performance.  Glenn armoring up and rolling on out.  Lil’ Asskicker being not dead. Daryl kicking ass pre-credits. Maggie’s desperate search for Glenn IF and ONLY IF you hadn’t seen any previews or teasers.  Everything else was pretty terrible.  Hopefully, Abraham pulling up in his deuce and a half will give the show the spark it needs to recover.  We can only hope. It was the best of seasons (Internment), it was the worst of seasons (Dead Weight), but while it ended on a very bleak note for our survivors, it nevertheless was a positive and hopeful way to end things from a storytelling and general quality standpoint. After the last two week’s distraction from what was going down at the prison, we return in triumphant fashion with the highly entertaining hour of television that was The Walking Dead mid-season four finale, “Too Far Gone”.  And by “triumphant” I mean “a total defeat for everyone concerned,” except for us, the viewer.  Seriously, Daryl killed a tank single handedly.  If you didn’t enjoy that on an at least “Expendables” kind of level, I think it’s time you just gave up on The Walking Dead, because I don’t think it’s going to get much better than this. If you’re a true-blue Walking Dead fan and loved this episode and couldn’t get enough of the Governor or his storyline, this might not be the cast for you. A.Ron straight up hates it, and Jim likes it but only if he grants that the entire two episode arc is an unnecessary distraction from what’s going on with Rick and his group at prison. So yeah. I can’t remember an episode of television this polarizing that we’ve covered, but that’s what you get with The Walking Dead episode 406, “Live Bait.”  People loved it, people hated it, people were extremely confused by it.  What did we think?  Listen and find out, as we discuss the Window of Broken Dreams, the horrors of living with 4 people trapped in an apartment with no indoor plumbing and an endless supply of “beeferino”, the Governor’s epic beard, sexual intercourse in the land of no-bedrooms, fist-bumping, tough-talking, police academy flame-out lesbians,  and A.Ron completely giving up the pretense of trying to pronounce Martin Ass’s name correctly.  All this, your thought provoking feedback, and a nicely rounded spoiler section concealed at the very end of the cast for the safety of those with sensitive ears!
