Stew and Justin are big Zack Snyder fans and were eagerly anticipating the release of his new movie, Rebel Moon! So much so that Stew even put Part Two on his list of Most Anticipated Movies before Part One had even been released! Originally planned as a Star Wars movie, Snyder reworked it to be an original story released on Netflix. There's a longer director's cut coming, but how does the PG-13 version fare? Delayed due to the Covid pandemic, Shang-Chi was pushed back from its original release date in 2020 to 2021. Marvel's first superhero of Asian descent was met with critical praise (and audiences loved it, too) and ushered in Phase Four (although technically Phase Four started with WandaVision, Black Widow was the first feature film but since it's a prequel...). Set in 1957, just after the Sputnik satellite was launched, young Hogarth Hughes finds and befriends a giant robot man. Trying to keep a giant robot a secret is no small order, especially when a government agent comes knocking. The Iron Giant has developed a cult status and the guys discuss whether or not it holds up. In 2015, Fox rebooted Marvel's first family but it was less than stellar. Studio interference plagued the film and the final result is a superhero movie that is utterly forgettable.
