Egg prices are skyrocketing right now due to the impact that the bird flu has had on the nation’s poultry population. The U.S. Department of Agriculture released a report this week saying the agency predicts that egg prices will increase 41% this year. There is an ongoing dilemma here in Massachusetts over prosecuting violent criminals who are here illegally that has local and federal officials at odds. In one case of a Guatemalan national facing child rape charges, the question is which legal action takes priority: convict and imprison the man for the crime he committed here in MA or deport him back to Guatemala.
