October 8 Thank you. It's just one word; but how much would our lives change if we used it a little more often? If we were a bit more thankful, perhaps we would savor each day a little more and live a little richer. Today, on Thanksgiving Day, we pause and thank God for the blessings in our lives.

October 1 We talk about “being in the will of God”, for all of the choices we need to make in our lives, and we talk about wanting to “know the will of God”, for those choices, but we don’t often spend a lot of time pursuing it. Prayer is an expression, a measure, of our relationship with God. Relationships take a long time. Spend time with Him. Talk with Him. Listen for Him. Watch and learn how to have a great sense of His power in our every day lives.

Today we celebrated the many cultures that make up the Gateway Church family, and our great nation of Canada!

These days there’s a lot of talk about what “stand” we take, or what “stands” we should take. What do you “stand” for? What do you believe? Public declarations are made on a daily basis via “Likes”, Tweets, posts, comments etc, all screaming out “This is me! This is who I am!” We do this because we want people to know us; we want people to know what and who we identify with and belong to. Today we talked about, and demonstrated through water baptism, what it looks like to identify with and belong to Christ.
