A black male student at Long Island University was suspended for a year after a white female student kissed him at a party and later claimed he sexually assaulted her. She told three different versions of the story, all of which were either contradicted by witnesses — including her own friends — or not corroborated. Ron Edwards is back from Washington, D.C. and he is ready to discuss his trip and the SCOTUS political battle too. Forget Netflix and chill, more like Netflix, and cancel. The mega-streaming company has seen a slew of subscription cancellations after the release of "Cuties," amid charges that the film is tantamount to child ography. Netflix released the movie on Sept. 9, followed quickly by a campaign by critics urging subscribers to #CancelNetflix. Three days later, cancellations increased to eight times the daily averages recorded in August. Things might get worse for Netflix. Sen. Black Lives Matter activists attempted to block the entrance to a hospital in Los Angeles late on Saturday night that two deputies were rushed to after being shot during an apparent assassination attempt. Nancy Pelosi's daughter, Christine Pelosi, has released a letter from a law firm representing the California cosmetologist who provided stylist services to the House speaker on Monday during a COVID-19 lockdown. The California General Assembly — comprised of a Democratic supermajority — has advanced legislation that could ease the criminal punishment for LGBT adults who have sex with underage teenagers. A report published by The Atlantic claimed on Thursday that President Donald Trump called American troops who died in battle “losers” and “suckers,” citing anonymous sources. An apparent right-leaning counter-protester was shot to death on Saturday night in Portland after the city’s Democratic mayor refused federal assistance from the Trump administration to help maintain peace in the city, which has seen nearly 100 days of violent riots dating back to May. An as-yet identified Black Lives Matter activist and leader has called for the death of police officers as well as for action to burn down the White House.

The Oregon State Legislature approved a coronavirus relief fund for which only black people and black-owned businesses are eligible. A group of seven veteran defense lawyers, three of whom are black, believe that the officers involved in the shooting of Breonna Taylor should not be charged with murder or manslaughter.
