San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan is adding his name to a crowded list of candidates for governor. Mahan made the announcement in a lenghthy post on X, saying he's running for governor "because we can do better," and that he's proved that in San Jose.  Around 330 acres of farmland that once belonged to Fresno’s Assemi family has been sold, according to new reports. It shows a man, believed to be Pretti, confronting federal agents along with other protesters.  Madera County issued the Central Valley Mega Pit, a private burnout and drifting venue, a temporary restraining order earlier this month, citing permitting and zoning violations. Meta has started blocking its users from sharing links to ICE List, a website that has compiled the names of what it claims are Department of Homeland Security employees. A man accused of attacking Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., during a town hall event on Tuesday reportedly sprayed what is believed to be apple cider vinegar on the congresswoman. Fresno Unified School District Trustees will receive double the amount of pay after the recent passage of a state assembly bill. The pay is increasing from $ 2,100 a month to about $ 4,500 a month. This is a move that has not happened since the 1980’s.  Fresno Unified denied allegations made by some retirees in a complaint letter and said that the 2023 health insurance changes do not constitute a loss of benefits or a breach of the collective bargaining agreement.  The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit sitting en banc heard consolidated challenges to Louisiana and Texas laws requiring display of a nonsectarian version of the Ten Commandments in public school classrooms.
