David Alexander McGowan was Professor of Oral Surgery and Honorary Consultant in Oral Surgery to the Greater Glasgow Health Board, 1977 to 1999.   McGowan graduated from Queen's University, Belfast, in 1961. He became a lecturer in Oral Surgery at the London Hospital Medical College's Dental School in 1968, and was appointed Senior Lecturer the following year. Dr. MacLeod  a general dentist is a 1969 graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. and 1973 grad of College of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey. Graduated from Guy's Hospital in London in 2002.  Found a passion for learning new things and pushing my clinical skill set. Having undertaken a lot of CE in restorative and aesthetics, I started to get bored and decided to start learning about implants too.  This has actually worked really well for me as with implants we need to consider EVERYTHING.  I'm currently undertaking a Dip.Implant.Dent and MClinDent in implantology in London and have completed the Dental XP externship with Stony Brook university in NYC.   My focus now is on dental implants and I have plans to continue my education to be able to perform surgery most are not comfortable with.  Be where others aren't, there is no competition there!
