Dr. Nordstrom grew up on a farm in Viking, Alberta. His father, Dr. Bryan Nordstrom, has been the dentist in Viking since 1980. Dr. Nordstrom graduated from High School in Viking and then attended the University of Alberta in Edmonton where he achieved his Bachelor of Medical Science degree, and then his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005.   After Dental School, Dr. Nordstrom moved to Whitehorse, Yukon to work for the Pearson Dental Group, where he practiced general dentistry in both Whitehorse and Watson Lake for two years. Richard was born in Dublin in the 7Os, not far from where he practices now. He grew up in the inner city and his journey and career in dentistry has travelled a million miles over the years. He graduated dental training in 1995, spent a period of time in hospital training in the UK, then returned to private practice.
