July 24, 2022 Speaker: Ian Campbell John 17.15-19 Have you ever found yourself rationalizing a behaviour because “everyone else is doing it”? Perhaps it was downloading or photocopying something that was copyrighted. A pastor friend of mine endorsed making photocopies of a book saying “copyright just means copy it right”! We are invited to swim upstream as followers of the Way. It’s key to our proper orientation to the world of people and the world system. Let’s get our orientation “trued.”

July 17, 2022 Speaker: Andrew Wood 1 Peter 2:9-22 This Sunday Pastor Andrew is going to continue the conversation we started last week on The Flesh. We’ll focus on the topic of freedom; what is true freedom and how do we get there. Sunday, June 12, 2022 Speaker: Ian Campbell Matthew 3.2; Mark 1.15; Luke 17.20-21 Today we begin a teaching series on the topic of "non-anxious presence." We're beginning by setting the stage for this way of being in the world by grounding ourselves in the Bible's teaching about the Kingdom of God. Is the Kingdom here? Or coming? Or both? Jesus said that the Kingdom was "among us." Presence is the operative term for our world view, as we will see throughout the series. And its presence may be well described as "non anxious." And yet we are being told that we are more anxious as society and even Christ followers that ever before. Let's settle down and settle in through this summer meditation :)

May 29, 2022 This Sunday we’re going to look at what happens we shine light on the idol of materialism and see the impact that Godly character can have on a person and their family.

Sunday May 22, 2022 Have you ever asked God to tell you where to go and what to do and actually meant it? This Sunday we’re going to look at Paul’s missionary journey with Timothy to Macedonia all based on a dream that Paul had. We’ll see what God did with that act of faith and consider whether God is asking us today to be living with such selfless abandoned in our day.

Sometimes there is a little friction! That’s what happened when Gentiles began following Jesus along with the already existing Jewish believers. But it was part of God’s amazing plan to show His love and grace to the whole world! Are there lessons for us about welcome and inclusion in this story?

This time we hear the disciples being forbidden to speak any more in “this name.” What will they do?

One was Pilate’s military procession – a demonstration of both Roman imperial power and Roman imperial theology. One was Jesus’ triumphal entry in a demonstration of Kingdom power and theology. As we understand both we find ourselves needing to decide which procession we will join.

Should we ask for forgiveness or pray one of the impreccatory psalms for his destruction. Or both?

He didn’t want to upset the applecart and yet this brought him to desperate means to save his own life and that of everyone around him. Maybe not the type that is most attractive to you – and avoiding sea voyages might be wise!

Sunday, February 27, 2022 Speaker: Ian Campbell Matthew 3.1-12 John the Baptist was a good example of the type 8 in the enneagram. His actual calling was to be “against” as a prophet. These types of personality are often characterized by speaking out against what they perceive to be wrong. As they understand themselves they can tune and tone their presence and input with positive results for all.
