In the first half of the show, Razia Jan talks about the great leap that she took to start an all girls school in Rural Afghanistan.  In the wake of 9/11 she was inspired to leave the US and go back to her homeland and start a free all girls school where educatoinal opportunities for females is greatly lacking.  In the second half of the show, Linda Meyers and Luisa Yonker talk about the program Pathfinders and showcase how it's helping bring together Rotaract students from Baker College in Muskegon, MI and elementary students from the area. 

Pat Merriweather, past DG of Rotary District 6450 in Chicago talks about the increase in violent crime in and around the city and what Rotarians are doing to deal with it.  Marc West of the Berea, OH Rotary Club was in-studio to talk about RYLA and how it is changing the lives of young people in Northeast Ohio.

In the first half of the show, we talk with Franca Melloncelli and the Spartan West Club's efforts to revitalize a children's room at the Haven Shelter in Spartanburg, SC.  In the second half of the show, Dr. Tim Eaton talks about how is club, the local rotaract club and Hillsdale college showed great service about self when they opened their arms to victims of the May 2013 tornado in Moore, OK.
