Fat A.z. Musky Podcast

Brian and Jacqi from the Jefferson Project phone in and tell us what they been up to in the last few months on Chautauqua lake. It is very evident from the start we are out gunned in the entire conversation. If you like to hear about science stuff, this show is for you. YA SCIENCE! 

We start off the show by answering a listener's question. Then dive into some speculation, not exactly scientific findings to gauge if we feel its possible to predict musky activity. 

We discuss the recent huge winds, near net failures, gaffs and lifting fish by the eyes.

Todd introduces us to the "LL Cool Bart"   We learn about "The Bush"   Lithium marine battery talk   Andy's family has grown by one.

Vance and Todd talk about their season so far, and recent trends. Vance tells a cool big fish story

By happenstance Charlie was swinging by the shop about the time we were going to record a show, and accepted our invite to join in. He is secretary for MI Chapter 16. We talk a little about his fishing career, we discuss his involvement in MI, and joins in the story telling. 

We have a light hearted discussion about what aspects could be considered "cheating" in musky fishing. Don't get us wrong, we are not hating, just letting our minds drift.    Not wasting an opportunity, we brainstorm an invention from our cheating talk. We then add what would be head lines that would stem from it. 

Andy and Vance shoot the bull on this show. Sharing stories about taking planner boards to the face, stiches, and talking about if there will be a show season. 

Andy bombs with his stories, Vance defies all probability with his story. GMS tells us about his three rod approach. We brainstorm storm up the Gear Man Steve Grand Slam (GMSGS), and we start to iron out the details.

Brian is a well traveled outdoors-men, who isn't afraid to put the miles down to chase what he loves . We talk about his passion for musky fishing as well his pursuit of waterfowl and mushrooms. 

We tell some recent fishing stories, hear what Todd and Vance will "cheap out" on their equipment, and discuss how this cold front has affected the fishing.

Pete joins Andy and Vance to discuss common sense about warm weather fishing. Then we get into a Readers Digest version of Pete's life story.   

Jared bring us up to speed on this years stocking efforts. We discuss in detail the process and the results of how the state has fared during this crazy year.

We start the show talking about sun glasses, the differences in frame, and color of lens.    We also give food for thought on water temp, some personal accounts, them more food for though. 

Steve and Andy discuss how they suck at the sport of fishing. Vance tells the story of cutting his hand by pleasure boater. Todd adds a few stories. Ja Rule drops in for a quick second.

We have a great conversation with John. We discuss his life growing up fishing, the guide life, his bait business, and some research he has been a part of.

Early in the show Vance and Brandon go completely off track in a bickering match. Eventually we get to talk about upcoming F8 events, only to fall back into more bickering.  

We address what we feel might be bad advise, and had fun giving some joking bad advise

We hear about Andy's day to go fishing, Hot weather and how the fish responded, Vance's start of the season, and making fun of ourselves.
